Hello All-

Quick question on the best way to make a room location request.

We booked directly through the wdw site and we will staying at CBR starting on 1/25. No where in the initial booking did it ask for room location preference. We are closing in on the 10-day window where you can complete the online check-in.

When I access this from the disney site, can I request a particular location within the resort, for example Aruba 51, etc.??

Thanks for any help or suggestions. I understand that the request does not guarantee your location.

thanks,

You can't make a location request on the online check-in form. To add a request to your reservation, you'll want to call 1-407-WDISNEY. :thumbsup2

You need to call reservations and have them note the request. Speak to a CM and they will just add it to your reservation. Don't wait until you get there to ask, it will greatly decrease your chances of getting it, especially if you do online check in.

Thanks for the advice. Do I need to wait until we're within 10 days.

Since the computers roll over the reservations to the resort three to five days before you check-in, the longer you wait, the less likely you will get what you are requesting. Many people in the resort have requested at the time they make their reservation.

Don't be disappointed in you don't get the exact building you were hoping for, but in a general vicinity may have to do.

If you call and make your ressies through WDW, could you make a room request at that time, then do online check in- I mean would your request when you made the ressie carry over when you did the online check in? Hope that wasn't too confusing of a question!

Yes, your reservation requests have nothing to do with whether you do online check-in or not. Online check-in is just to indicate a time of arrival and place a cc. on file if needed.

However, when you arrive, the CM will give you the first available room. I always advise people if you have a specific request or more than one, it is best to wait and check-in. It sort-of defeats the purpose to get there, get the first available room, they hand you your packet and then you asked to be moved to your requested area, even if you have to wait for the room.

IMHO, online check-in is for people who don't have specific room requests and will be happy where they are placed.
