online check-in from US ?

Hi All,
Has anybody had internet access to do online check-in for flight home with Virgin please?

Is this the same as going to DTD if I cant find a computer?

Yes. we've done this a couple of times. You still have to report to the check-in desk with your luggage when you arrive at MCO, although there is a separate line.

I have heard that Disney hotels can do the Internet check-in for you at the front desk. Not sure if this is still true for value hotels

Yes we did online check in at Xmas, then went to DTD to drop cases off.
I did it because going out they did not keep our prebooked seats. We got to Man airport 2 hours to Departure and could not get 4 seats together.

So you can 'check in' on line, then drop all your luggage at DTD????
Do you still have to be at MCO three hours before the flight??
We have internet access at the villa, so we'll be using this facility.

No not 3 hours, once you have your boarding passes from DTD you can arrive when you want, just remember to give yourselves enough time to get thru dropping car off, long walk, and security, I still aim to be there 2 hours before to allow for flat tyres, accidents etc. but I know some leave it til last minute

What about if you didn't use the DTD drop off for your luggage? We always end our holidays at HRH - so without transport it would be too far to go to DTD....could you do check-in on line then turn up, like in UK, just an hour before the flight?

Yes you just have to be there at least 60 mins to departure, thats when the check in closes (as I found out at Heathrow last Oct and missed flight to Cali, got there 59 mins to departure, they are very strict)

You can checkin online to get you seats confirmed, and put in the extra info they ask for.
After that its your choice, exactly the same service at DTD or at the checkin desk at the airport, either place check your passports, give you boarding cards and takes your luggage from you.
Please ask away with what you dont understand.

Yes, you dont have to check in online, Just go to DTD and they check you in there, Only benefit doing it online is you confirm your seats before you arrive at DTD or the airport.
At Xmas we had prebooked our seats the day we were allowed to months in advance of our flights. Online checkin was not working Boxing day morning when we flew so turned up 2 hours before departure and we had to sit apart, Online checking would have confirmed our prebooked seats and they would not have given them away. (well thats how it should work )

Almost sure its 8am-12 noon but cant find confirmation.
1st time we did it was at opening and said never again took us over a hour, it was crazy. Tried it again at Xmas went mid morning and took us about 15 mins, a lot easier later on.

We performed online checkin 24 hours before departure at CBR reception last year. They were very helpful.
