Online check in for rental car?

Is it worth doing online check in for a rental car? I'm renting from Thrifty. Will it save time the first time I've rented from them, or will I still be standing in line in the airport?

If you made your reservation as a Blue Chip member, and you fill out the required info pre-check information, at most airports you will be able to go right to the car and avoid a potentially long line. You'll need to have your id and the credit card you used to book the reservation to show the agent.
