Hello. We will be coming to WDW in January and staying at OKW. I am trading in with RCI. Can I even do online check in with trading in like that? Also, I've never done online check in and wasn't sure what the chances are of getting the request granted that you ask for. Is there a better chance of getting your requests if you do regular check in or is it about the same chances?

If we cannot do online check in, will we have a better chance of getting our request the earlier in the day we arrive? Say 12n versus 4pm?

I'd really like a dedicated 2 bedroom vs the lockoff. I have a few bldg locations I prefer and also I prefer a bottom floor... What do you think?

Thanks so much!

I believe that you can as long as you have / use the DVC reservation number, not the RCI one. You can get that from MS. The TN should be on the documents you got from RCI.

Having done both, I do not think there is much of a difference. But either way, your requests should be noted on the reservation. If you haven't already done so, call MS and ask the CM to add your requests to your reservation. When you arrive (as early in the day as you can manage), politely repeat your request at check in. They'll do the best they can to accommodate you. But as you know, there are no guarantees.

Yes, in my experience, this is true, but there are never guarantees and you just never know until you are in the room.

Call MS and make sure your requests are noted.

Most 2 bedrooms at OKW are dedicated so the odds are in your favor, especially since there are no dedicated studios at 1 bedrooms at OKW, so the lock off units are used to fill those reservations. No idea how they decide how many lock offs to use as 2 bedrooms, but again, since you booked a 2 bedroom, it's most likely that you will get one of the dedicated ones.

Keep in mind that the more specific and more numerous your requests, the less likely it will be that they can make them happen.

Good luck.

Thanks Carol for your reply! :goodvibes

I knew there were no dedicated studios or 1 bedrooms but it never connected in my brain that with that being the case, I would have a greater chance of getting the dedicated 2 bedroom. It made me stress that I would get those as a 2 bedroom and that's not what I want. I wonder if there is really any reason for me to make that a request. I have not added it yet but was thinking of calling MS to add that.

We have stayed at OKW twice in bldg. 62 in a grand villa and had an awesome time! I can't wait to go back and share it with my husbands family this time.
