Online Check In After Prior Recent Cruise

Hi folks -

We got off the Wonder earlier this month, and I just realized later tonight our window opens for our Wish cruise in September. Will I need to regather passports, vax cards and photos for online check in all over again, or will Disney's system have that still logged?

Thanks!
Anna

I have gone on 3 and checked in for 4 and had to re-enter all information every time. I really wish it would at least save the passports and photos! Good luck

Thanks, I figured it was worth a shot. At least we have everything we need ready already. Now to manage to stay awake until midnight...

Yes, it’s a pain. Gone on 4 since the re-start and you have to do the PP unloads and selfie uploads every time. On safe passage, the vax info is saved, so that is esay. You just put your new cruise number in and it pulls your info.

Well, it's 7:30EST and while my activities opened up at midnight, online check in is still not clickable. Not sure what the issue is, but I'm glad I gave up and went to bed at 12:30am!

I've said it in another thread and I'll say it again, I really wish they'd go back to taking pictures and scanning passports at the port. The one situation where I'm anti-technology. :P

True! Mostly because I like to go to bed early. :)

The other alternative is to let you check in (and book excursions) as soon as you book, like other cruise lines. It rewards early booking, doesn't make guests stay up into morning hours, and spreads the users out in time so systems aren't strained. If excursions aren't ready, just email guests as each one is added and they can go up and join. This would also avoid slow downs of waiting to grab this stuff at the port (but that should be an option too, for those who don't want to do it onlinel).

It really bothers me how Disney does this part for cruising, as well as opening dining and event reservations at the parks, and certain other reservations (like new rides at the parks) all at once, usually at inconvenient hours. It feels like it's an area where they are completely out of touch with the emotion it makes guests associate with their product (stress) and makes me realize the people at the top don't use their own products in the same manner as their consumer, ever.

For such an innovative company, I find it odd that it's so non-innovative when it comes to certain customer experiences and tech. They think they are edgy by pushing so much to tech, but it's no cutting edge to do so unless it's an improvement to alternatives and you invest heavily in making the tech work smoothly an intuitively.

I wish Disney would get someone with better vision when it comes to these customer experiences.

Online checkin currently does not open until the 30 day mark for everyone.

Yep, going on my 4th and 5th since restart and had to upload my passport 4 out of the 5 times....one time it was still there and I was shocked.

Safe Passage does keep your info so you do not have to upload vax info again....just add your new reservation # the countdown clock say 14 days and upload test results when you get your test 2 days prior.

I don’t know why DCL can’t store the information they have taken previously with a passport or photo. Airlines do it with passport info for international flights. Safe Passage does it. Why can’t DCL?

Just ask ‘is this still the ID you wish to use?’ Would make it so much better.
