Has anyone ever bought a refurbished item from the Apple website? If so, did all go okay?

Same here. I got my Nano about 4 years ago and it's still doing great. I was actually looking at Apple's refurbished ipods this morning.

That is good to know. I think I will get dd a refurbished Touch then instead of a new one. The warranty looks to be the same as a new one anyhow and there is a big difference in $$.

We have two refurbished I Touches...last Christmas presents....no problems what so ever.

Ordered my youngest dd one for this Christmas and got it last week.

I can't see paying for a new one.

We also purchased 2 refurbished ipod touches a year and a half ago and there have been no problems. They arrived looking brand new, packaging was sealed and there wasnt a single finger print on it. We love them. I will only purchase refurb's for now on.

I was looking as well. They come with a year warranty, but is it worth it to buy the extra warranty on it? It's for my DH, but we do have a 4 yo and 1 1/2yo in the house.

Yes, and have had no problems at all. All the refurbs come with a standard Apple 1 year warranty so you really can't go wrong if you are looking for an inexpensive option for an Apple product.

I also purchased Ipod touch refurbished from apple and have had no problems!!! I would definetly do it again!! Great $$$ saver!!!

I've bought six refurbished ipods from apple...classics, nanos, shuffles. I've never had the least bit of a problem.

Two years ago I bought an Itouch for my husband! We haven't had any problems and have been happy with everything! Go for it!!!

Apple Refurbs are my favorite product! I've bought iPod's of various flavors and a MacBook Pro. As previous posters have said, it's the same warranty as new, and when they arrive they are packaged like new. No issues and I'm very happy to have saved from 15-35% on my Apple products.

The only thing I'm aware of that you can't do when buying a refurbished iPod is have it engraved, but this is not worth the savings to me.

Another from me, I've bought two itouches in the past year and bought another one for this Christmas today, no problems at all.
