Online ADRs when renting DVC points?

Can anyone out there help with this question?

I stumbled upon a thread that suggested that the poster was not able to schedule their ADRs online (after the 180 day mark) because the online system didn't recognize their confirmation number. Some other posters had a step-by-step guide on how to test it out, but that didn't work for the OP.

Our trip is still over seven months away, so I've got more than a month to wait to make my ADRs, but I'm a bit stressed already worrying that I won't be able to get in for that prized Le Cellier ADR!

Anyone share any insight? TIA

It's OK even if it doesn't recognize your confirmation. If you are within the 180 day window, you are still able to make ADR's.

What about the 180 + 10? Does that work with DVC? (I'm renting points, if that matters...)

Yes, once you hit 180 days out, you can make add ADRs for up to ten nights of your reservation.

Confused.... is the 180+10 mean you can make all ADRs at 190 days before your check-in date? Do you think you can make all of your ADR's at 190 days or just the 180 days (like everyone else), if you are renting DVC points? Thanks!

180+10 means at 180 days out you can make an ADR for your trip - for the first ten days of your reservation as long as it is one reservation and you don't have a split stay (that would be another reservation and you start over at that point). So if you have a 14 day reservation, you wouldn't be able to make ADRs for the last four days.

In other words, you are 180 days out from the first day, 181 days out from the second day, 182 days out from the third day...

Deb ~

You did a great job explaining the 180+10. My only question is, when you go to book ADRs online, if you select a day more than 180 days out (for the second-tenth days of your stay) a message pops up and says:

We noticed that you requested a day more than 180 days in advance. Only resort guests have the benefit of reserving dining reservations that far in advance. If you have a resort reservation, please confirm it now.

In other words, it will let you book online 180 days ahead, but if your go to book the "+10" it wants you to confirm that you are a Disney resort guest.

When you follow the link to confirm your reservation, it asks for your reservation number, last name, resort, and check in date. My question is: Will the system recognize a DVC reservation number? When I've typed the ressie # in to the regular Disney website at the "retrieve reservation" section, it doesn't pull it up, but it does at the DVC site.

TIA :wizard:

If it doesn't recognize your confirmation number you might need to call the Dining Line.
There have been a few times online doesn't work.
Also make sure you are signed in to the Disney website first too.
