Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I just stayed at POFQ a few weeks ago for the first time. It was very nice and I would stay there again. It is a smaller resort so everything is just a short walk away. There is a boat that you can take to Downtown Disney which is nice. We did that on our first evening and it was a nice way to relax after a hectic day of traveling. You can also take a walk to POR, which we did a couple of times at night. We ate at the food court only once. My daughter and I had a chicken wrap and it came with these delicious homemade potato chips. My son had pot roast and he said it was good. My daughter and I always wanted to go back for another sandwich, but it never worked out. Our room was nice and we had no problems with mousekeeping - cleaned every day and plenty of towels were left.

I think you will enjoy POFQ. It gets very good reviews here on the boards. My favorite moderate resort though is CBR and it has a very different feel to it - it is very tropical. I have stayed there so many times and that is why I was looking forward to POFQ - something new - and it didn't disappoint.

Happy to hear what you had to say...we are staying at POFQ for this first time this fall. We also very much liked CBR but it was SO big.

Slight glitch in the system - we are DVC members staying on point and while I had no trouble getting the 90+10 this morning and making my ADRs and getting my e-mail confirmation, I tried to log on to check them tonight, and the system cannot retrieve my dining reservations. It does say DVC members should contact member services, so I am thinking that the system does not allow access to dining reservations when linked to a DVC confirmation number. Oh well. So far I am resisting the urge to call and make sure the ADRs are there.

I'm not DVC, so not sure if this will help you or not, but when I tried to retrieve my ADRs a few days ago, I got the same thing you did. What I was forgetting is that the telephone number I put in when making my ADRs was my cell phone number, while I used my landline number for my resort/package reservation. If you haven't tried that, its worth a shot.:)

UGH!!! I made sure I could pull up my reservation days ago (I booked with AAA), and got in this morning no problem. Got all of my ADR's for the full week. But the system isn't recognizing I am on the dining plan and wants over $500!

My window hasnt opened so I havent actually booked, tho I have fooled around with the system. I dont think you say til you go eat if you are on the DP tho?

Anyway, yesterday checking it out was the first time it recognized my room reservation when I tried to log it. I was very happy. I thought it wouldnt accept it until the day my 90 window opens.

The calendar was still for 90 days from yesterday, but at least I know my ressie works!!

Yes POFQ is really nice--we go back in 4 months.

Once they're booked, how do you retrieve your ADR's online to review them?

I also just thought, if you ring up, can you ask to have 2 ADR's linked together?
I.e. I have booked 2 tables for 6 for the same time, can I ring to request we are sat near to each other?

I have 2 dinner shows I want to book that require payment up front. Using the DP, it only needs a cc guarantee. I was able to book everything else just fine, I will need to call them regarding these specific shows.

I did it! :yay: 4:45 am got up and started opening dining windows. Within 17mins I had everything I wanted including Le Cellier. Woo hoo!!! Happy day. Thanks for all the feedback on this thread. It made me well prepared to get in there and get done.

That is great.

Just to clarify, you are not EST, correct? That is why you got up at 4:45?

Not the phone number, so it must be DVC. Still resisting the urge to call, but will probably give in.

I tested out the online ADR system. When we book we will have a party of 10 having dinner at CRT. It says that for parties of 10 or more you must book by phone. However, when I put in for 6 adults and 4 children, it allowed the ADR to go through for CRT dinner and showed the price and everything. So, are online ADRs good for 10 people or is it safer to wait for 7AM and call? Would they delete my online ADR because it is for that many people?

I just made my first online reservations - did my first set the old way, via phone. In any case, when the email confirmation arrived, I noticed that it didn't include my confirmation number. Does this agree with others' experience?

If so, this seems like a real flaw in the system, especially since one needs the confirmation numbers to bring them up for review - or for cancellation.

It has been a couple weeks, but I can now follow-up with some information on this.

I'm reading my email with Microsoft Entourage (version 2004). And there's something about the way the HTML is written that a lot of the details in the email aren't rendered by Entourage. When I view the email in my web browsers, the detail is there, including the confirmation number.

So just as a warning to users of Office 2004 for OS X - you may not be able to see all the information in your reservation email. (Perhaps this is not a problem in Entourage 2008.)

Okay I've used online to schedule my ADR's, but now I want to cancel one. Can I also do this online? I looked around the site and didn't see a way to do it. :confused3

OK my ADR date is in the morning. I would like to do it online but I'm not sure how to do the 90+10 online. Could someone walk me thru it or post a link to a thread that explains it.

If you sign in and put in your dinning reservation confirmation number it will pull up your ADR and there will be a cancel button for you to click on.

From what I understand, there is a space to put in your reservation number, and if you are staying on property you could book 90 days before your check-in date, for up to 10 days thereafter. So be sure to put in your reservation number. You can check the online ADR system at disneyworld.com to test it out.

Go to the disney website and put in your confirmation number, this will pull up your reservation and the website will let you do 90+10. If you havent registed at disney.com then you should do that and play with the website so you know your way around.
