Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Not sure which CC ADR's you have but when I go online and verify there is a cancel button on my MM "F" package???

We're at WDW from Dec. 28-January 2.
There will be 8 of us (although we will probably split up a few times).

It looks to me like I will be able to book the Candlelight Procession dinner package through the online reservation system when that comes available.

I also want to try for a Wishes cruise--can that be done online or does it need to be a phone call?

Hi all! Our 90 day mark isn't until Aug. 23 BUT I believe in being prepared in advance!! I just got a headache:headache: and crossed eyes trying to scroll through the "sticky" on online ADRS. I noticed several people commenting they couldn't book 90 + 10 because they had reservations through AAA--they could only book the 1st day. Is that still true? Can AAA members book directly on the phone for 90 + 10? We used AAA last year and had no problem booking ADRS ourselves for 90 + 10 on the phone, was hoping to do all of them online at once this time. THANKS in advance!!:goodvibes

You won't have any problem doing this on the phone. It's online that won't recognize your AAA conf number. Good luck!

I'm an AAA TA who booked my own trip and just did my ADRs this morning.

Your AAA agent can do your 90 + 10 reservations on the AAA agent dining website. :thumbsup2

You can do your 90 + 10 ADRs over the phone. :thumbsup2

If you want to do your ADRs online you can, but you will not be able to access the +10 feature because TA package reservations are not linked to a phone number.

And here's something I foud doing my own ADRs on the agent website this morning - sometimes you still have to call. I couldn't find a dinner ADR @ Sanaa for any day in the week. Lunch was all open but nothing for dinner. I called and got the 7:40pm I wanted on the day I wanted it.

I'm guessing that they're not giving full access to all restaurants for online ADRs. I can't say for certain, but I know that's how my theatre runs our ticketing website. We only release a few dozen seats at a time online but full availability is always open over the phone and in the box office. It just makes inventory control so much easier!

Sorry this was so long but hopefully it'll help you with your planning! :hippie:

That ADR thread can give you a headache, can't it?! :headache: Keep up with that first part of the thread, though as your ADR time approaches in August. They list updates about important ADR issues (like not being able to book 90+10 online if you booked through a TA).

They may have created a fix by August to enable you to book online (at 6am) instead of waiting to call in at 7am on your ADR booking day. So just keep monitoring that first part "sticky" of that thread. :)

But you definitely can call in on your 90 days out mark and book for your entire stay. :goodvibes good luck with the planning....and ADR bookings. :wizard:

I just tried to cancel two, the ones with credit card info to hold them have to be done on the phone. The other one I went to cancel online and it has said 'Please wait while we process your request' for about 5 minutes now. Hmm...

Got all of our resevations today, had to call because we booked through our travel agent. We were on hold for an hour but got everthing within 30 minutes
either way of our requested times. But what I was surprised about was that I then went onto the website to see if I could retrive our reservations and print them out and they were all there. I did't think that they would be because we didn't book thru disney. So I had them e-mailed to our address and printed them out.

Alright, I can make my ADRs tomorrow. I went on the WDW site and set up an account and played around with the system a little. I can't find anywhere were it asks for your resort confirmation #. So I'm wondering how are they going to know when you can make your 1st day + 90 if they don't ask for resort info? If I'm just missing this somewhere or totally doing the wrong thing would someone please tell me!!!

Click on the restaurant you want. Right ABOVE the date and time is a blue link to "retrieve your reservation". Click on that and it will open boxes for resort number and phone number.

Instead of defaulting to the June calendar, it will then default to the calender for September, when you check in. Tomorrow if it works successfully, the extra 10 days will be highlighted and accessible to you.

Good luck!

Today is my 90-day mark. I was up at 3:50am getting ready to do the on-line booking. It wouldn't work. I couldn't pull up my reservation. :confused3So at 5:05 I got on the phone and after a 75 minute wait I got frustrated and hung up and then I went back to bed. :sad2:

I tried again about 10:00am. I got through after 15 minutes or so. After booking a few reservations I was transferred to guest services and they were able to figure out why I couldn't get the reservations to work. I had to tell her that I had read on-line:banana: that some people were missing the phone number from their reservation. That was the problem. It finally worked!!:woohoo: I was able to make a few more reservations including....Cinderella's Royal Table:yay:

I couldn't however book my entire trip. I could only book out for 5 days. Not sure why I couldn't do the 90 + 10 days.

I do have a question for all you wonderful people. I can't pull up the reservations that I made over the phone. Does it take some time before they show up? Or do only the on-line bookings show up?

Thanks!!

Jodi

I made 2 online reservations yesterday. One for 'Ohana breakfast and one for Shula's. I did not notice til this morning where there was a place in the ressie system where you could enter your Resort Reservation. I did not do that. I logged in, gave the name for the reservation and the number of guests. I got confirmations for both ressies. It did not have a place to enter dining plan. I am on the Basic DDP. I know Shula's is OOP for us, but I am worried about our 'Ohana breakfast. Can I use our DDP for the Ohana breakfast I reserved ?:confused3

Thanks, when I just did it it said my resort reservation couldn't be found. Is that because I'm not at my 90 day mark yet???

I am arriving the 18th of Sept, 'Ohana breakfast is is for Sunday Sept. 20th, ressie for Shula's on Wednesday the 23rd, so I am ok with the 90 day mark. My TA made all my other ressies.

I don't see why not. You have a valid resort key with the dining on it, so I would think the restaurant would not care.

BTW, I did the same thing. I was worried too, but then when I went to check on my resort confirmation online. I entered my confirmation number, then went to the page to check my ADRS for the meals I didn't use my confirmation number with when I got them online, and somehow they are now linked to my resort confirmation number.

Yow can always call the dine line and ask to have that ADR linked to your resort confirmation.

You will be fine. You do not need to specify that you are using the DDP when you make your reservations. I know when you call, they ask but I think it is only because they will advise you if you go over the total of sit down credits, or are making an ADR for a signature dining spot. As long as you have the credits, you are all set.

No, it should still pull up your reservation and tell you the dates and resort you will be staying at. If it doesn't work now, it won't work on your 90 day.

Try calling guest services. I couldn't log in this morning because the system didn't have my phone number. Once they added the number it worked. I had to mention my concern about the phone number however.

Did you need a CC guarantee for that ADR though? If you're on the dining plan, that make a difference also.

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this though. I noticed, also, that the pointer changes when you mouse over where the cancel button normally is. I'm probably just a whiner but it would be great if everything worked online. It's silly if we have to call in to cancel CC guarantee ADRs. Unless it's a different process? I guess I'll just have to call and find out!
