Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Our trip is 9/26 so I'm supposed to be able to make our ADR's on 6/28. I just checked out the site and it still doesn't show that ADR's can be made for 9/25. :confused3 People arriving on 9/25 should have been able to make their ADR's on Saturday. I'm very confused!

Argh! I think I'm gonna be sick! I was on hold for 45 mins (since it won't let me book 90+10 online this morning) and then I got disconnected!
This is my 4th trip in the last 5 years and I have *never* had this much trouble with ADR's.......
Back to the end of the line, sigh

Cathy

The exact same thing happened to me at the same time. Called at 7:00 on the dot told 25 min wait 45 min later the CM answered took my reservation # and then I got disconnected. :headache:I hate to say it but I was so ticked off I broke the phone, had to call back on the cell. 30 min later I got about 1/2 of the restaurants and times I wanted. This should not be this stressful.

On the bright side later I entered the confirmation #s online and I can see and maybe even change the ADRs, plus I now have a new phone.

It'll be available at 6:01AM, not after midnight.

I know, but it should have said that 9/25 was available on the calendar yesterday and when I was on last night it didn't.

Now here I am, set my alarm to be up for 6:01 and sure enough, the site isn't working. It won't let me retrieve my reservation # and it won't even let me check availability for the first day of my vacation. :sad2: How did I KNOW this would happen. :scared:

AHHH!! It will not let me make a reservation b/c I cannot put in my kid's ages! Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

It won't let me do anything either, won't let me pull up my reservation or just book for day 1. I can't believe I got up extra early for this!

yep, i even left the site and came back, went to my vacation and was able to retrieve my ADR's
wer eyou able to retrieve your adr's from my vacation. If so, how did you do it. The only thing that I see is to enter each adr conf # seperately

Well, I did make ADRs but not for what I REALLY wanted. I got: Cape May Cafe (but not the day I wanted), Chef Mickey's (but not at all the time I wanted...I got stuck with 7:05am!!!), WCC, which is not the day I wanted, and DH choice, Planet Hollywood. I guess I will be staying up a little longer and calling at 7 to see if I can change/get what I want...ughh!

It finally worked long enough to tell me nothing was available and then BAM, it stopped working again!

Worked like a charm for me! :) Made sure to NOT be logged on before 6am. At 6am, I logged on using my email and password that I created. Searched for my first restaurant, when it came up, clicked book a reservation. Then clicked 'associate with a vacation reservation' (or whatever the wording is). Put in my vacation confirmation # and phone number, and it said that I'm staying at POFQ from 9/26-10/3 and all the dates on the calendar were unlocked.

Had no problem making any reservations. Got everything I wanted except a few were a half hour or an hour different then what I wanted. The shopping cart only holds 10 reservations at a time so I had to check out after the first 10, and slowly input my bday celebration into each one. After I did it for all of them, I instantly got an email confirmation. I then went ahead and booked the remaining 7 ADRs and did the same thing with the bday.

I was done with all 17 ADRs by 6:35am. Not too shabby.

Now I'm on hold with Disney Dining to book the GF Tea for my mom and I on our arrival day. :)

Good luck everyone!

*edit to say that I normally use Firefox as my browser but read a few posts saying that it was REALLLY slow. I used Safari on my Mac and it was QUICK! I did get a little nervous after I clicked check out for the first 10 ADRs. It took at least a minute for the confirmation page to come up. But it finally did!

Today was my 90 day mark. I got up at 6 to make my ADRs and was done in 20 minutes. 90+10 worked perfectly. The whole thing was really easy and painless. I had to switch a couple of days around, but all in all I LOVE the online dining system

It didn't work perfectly for me, but it worked. I had to retrieve my resort reservation, book the restaurant, then it wouldn't let me do another. I had to remove the resort reservation info, do it all over, log out and log in before each and every ADR.

That being said, I still managed to get everything I wanted!!

My 90 day mark is this Sunday for my Sept 26th-Oct 4th trip. However, yesterday I switched from the free dining to the AP discount code. The CM was unable to get me a standard room for that first night (26th), so I round up with a one night reservation in a King room for the 26th, then another reservation for a standard room for the 27th-Oct 4th. She told me she would link the reservations and make a notation on the first one that I'd be there for eight consecutive nights not just one. Is there any way to get the online dining system to recognize that though? Will I be able to book ADRs for the entire trip on Sunday, or will it just let me do that one day, then make me go back online on Monday to get the rest of them?:confused3 If so that doesn't seem fair. It's not my fault Disney didn't have the room type for a full eight nights.:confused3

The online booking system let me book Sept 26th and Sept 27th with no problem, but wouldn't let me have Sept 28th-Oct 4th. I called in at 0600CT and explained to the Dining CM about my split reservation. She asked for both my room reservation numbers and said no problem, they could see I was there for the whole week. She was able to get the rest of my reservations for the week with no problem. I had to change days with one of my lunch reservations, but otherwise got everything within 15 minutes of when I wanted it. I'm on the DxDDP so had 19 ADRs to make. I even got Le Cellier twice (for lunch and again for dinner). I also got California Grill for my first night at 7:20pm. What a way to start to the trip!:cool1::cool1:

I got California Grill, Boma (for breakfast and dinner), Coral Reef, Artist Point, Raglan Road, San Angel Inn, GF Cafe (for breakfast and lunch), Le Cellier (lunch and dinner), Tusker House (Nemo pkg), Narcoosee, Mama Melrose, Flying Fish, Kona, Maya Grill x2 (plan to change one to Kouzzina when available), Yak & Yeti.:cool1:

I used the online booking this morning and thought it worked great! I was done by 6:30am. I got Le Cellier, Crystal Palace, Sci Fi, Rain Forest, Ohana, Boma, and Chef Mickey. The only one I could only get at a bad time was Crystal Palace, but I'll keep checking back to change that.

Recently I've been trying to cancel my ADRs that needed a credit card guarantee in order to book online. Now, when I retrieve these reservations online, there is no "cancel" button. On my other reservations (ones that do not require a credit card guarantee) the "cancel" button is present. Is anyone else having this problem? Seems rather annoying if I have to call in and sit on hold for 20 minutes JUST to cancel a reservation. TIA

Was that 6am eastern or central time?

I am having the same issue with an online signature restaurant reservation w/cc guarantee. There is no cancel button.

If you mouse over where the cancel button should be, the pointer changes, but you still cannot actually click through to cancel. I wonder if this is a programming glitch in the new system, or if they still want you to speak with a live CM to be sure the cc guarantee gets canceled along with the ADR.

I plan to keep checking, but I will probably end up canceling it the next time I have to call WDW for something. With our trip still over seven weeks away, I'm sure I'll make at least one more call!

yup! when you're logged in...hover your mouse over the suitcase at the top right and click on dining reservations. enter in your conf # and phone number and i'll show up. Then just click cancel.

:flower3: Thanks!
