Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I gave up on the 90+10 even though I was logged in and it did retrieve my reservation, it would still only give me 9/17. But I called right at 7, got through with NO wait, and got everything we were asking for :cool1:

Our reservation was made directly with disney, no TA, etc. At least it all worked out and I was able to retrieve the ressies, email them to myself and we are good to go! I was really looking forward to doing them online though!

I just called Disney for the first time to verify my phone number and some other details and I can't get over how lovely the CM was. I had heard all these things about great customer service, but she was just so natural and very very helpful.

I changed my number in the system because there was something wierd with mine...but she said the system won't update for a while so I just have to wait and see if it works!!

Did you click on retrieve reservation just above the date?

I was able to get all of my ADRs at close to the times I wanted, I only had to call for Tea at the Garden View Lounge since they don't have a reservation box for it. Here are my ADRs:

1. 9/18 - Ohana
2. 9/19 - 1900 Park Fare
3. 9/20 - Yak & Yeti
4. 9/21 - Akershus Princess Breakfast
5. 9/21 - WCC Dinner
6. 9/22 - Tony's
7. 9/23 - Tea at the Garden View Lounge
8. 9/23 - California Grill
9. 9/25 - Coral Reef Lunch
10 9/26 - CRT Lunch
11.9/27 - Rose & Crown @ 7:45:woohoo:Illuminations baby!

Looking at your LAST ressie has me SO excited!! That's the day before I get there. :woohoo: That means it's ALMOST time to make my ADR's. I'll be calling or having my TA do it, though. LOL Unless they get it fixed in the next 11 days. :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Has anyone been able to sucessfully email their dining reservations? OI have tried several times. It says it was emailed, but I never received it and I tried 2 different addresses.

When I click the Retrieve Your Reservation link on the dining page & enter my resort confirmation number and phone number, I get a message that says “The reservation(s) you were trying to retrieve cannot be found. Please check that the information you provided is correct.”

As I mentioned before, my resort ressie isn’t a DVC or TA ressie and it does pull up on the My Disney Vacation page. I’ve tried it when I’m logged in and logged out with no luck. Every Dining/Central Reservation/Guest Services/Tech Support CM I’ve spoken to has told me that the information I’m entering is correct and that it should work.

So it seems like there is a glitch somewhere in the system that is bigger than just a phone number issue. And since they have no idea what the problem is, it also appears that I’ll be calling in to make my ADRs! :lmao:

I was getting the same message. The phone number that is on the reservation did not work, although it does work in the my vacation area of the site. After trying several different phone #'s, my BF's cell phone # worked for the dining. It must have been in the system from a previous trip. I never used or gave it to disney for this reservation. My ADR day is not till Saturday, but I am glad I tested it in the system early.

I have been trying for the past few days to use the online system to book some ADRs but can never get through.

Is it just me or is there trouble with the system?

The 1st time I tried I never got them, but I tried this morning and it worked...:happytv:

I've been checking just about every day, and have not had any problems (including just a minute ago).

Is it certain restaurants you are having issues with, or just the dining system in general?

I have also been playing with it and haven't had any difficulties. What is the problem that you are experiencing?

I either get a note "online booking is not available ..." or when I click on 'make a reservation' it says loading booking information but then nothing else comes up - the page remains blank.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Just wondering since you don't need to speak to a person, what time can you make adr's online? Can they be made at 12:01am on 90 days out? I was just wondering. As great as this may be, we are a party of 9, and I think I may be better of just talking to someone in Grand Gatherings. First thing opening at 7:00 on my 90th day out.

What do you all think?

What kind of system are you using? PC or Mac? Which browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox)?

Do you have the latest version of Adobe Flash/Shockwave installed? Is your internet security set REALLY high?

All of those things could be causing problems....

On-line is about 6:01 eastern. I've checked all 3 days...

Phone is 7 AM eastern.

Lots of Disney CM's are being told the on-line system doesn't open until the same time as the phones. They're wrong. We made an ADR yesterday at 6:01 AM (with the email conf hitting at 6:05) JUST so we could send it along to a DVC lead to show her. She flatly refused to believe my wife the day prior, telling us that HER management was telling her 7 AM, and that THEY were right, and these completely unofficial boards were wrong, and full of rumor and speculation.

The next morning, 6 AM. We made an ADR and passed the confirmation to her.

This morning...still 6 AM.

yes 7 :00 am est.

Has it changed? I made mine at 6:00am EST (5:00am my time) yesterday. At 5:59am EST, I couldn't do it, but as of 6:00am EST, boom, there was my 90+10. Unless it has changed, online is 6:00am EST for the rollover to all you to make your 90 +10.

I'm a little confused as to how I will schedule my ADR's for Hoop-De-Doo Musical Review, Mickeys Backyard BBQ and Spirit of Aloha online. I'm on the Deluxe Dining Plan and I didn't see anywhere to put in my reservation number. Won't this mean that they'll charge my credit card the price of the shows even though I've already paid? I suppose I could just call to book those three ressies and scheule all the rest online. I definitely can't afford to have those accidently charged to my card!!

Just curious....I am very afraid my computer will freeze up on me and I will miss my ****must have**** dining Adr's! :goodvibes

(Sort of) Success!!! After speaking with every department I could think to call and trying every home/cell/work phone number we’ve had in the last 12+ years, I had resigned myself to the fact that I was just going to have to call to make my ADRs this weekend.

Well, the last person I spoke with yesterday was a wonderful CM in Guest Services. He, too, played around in the system and on the site and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t able to retrieve my resort ressie, but he said he would look into it. He called back this morning and said that he actually had trouble sleeping last night because he was thinking about how to fix this for me! This is what he came up with … he cancelled my resort reservation and held the rooms while he rebooked them for us. This gave us a new reservation number, which is able to be retrieved on the dining system!

So while there are still bugs in the system which I hope they resolve quickly for everyone’s sake, I should be able to make 90 + 10 ADRs online. (And even more than that, he restored my faith in Disney Magic after some not-so-pleasant CM interactions yesterday. :goodvibes)
