Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I have a question, and this may have been answered before, but has Disney started a CC hold for any more restaurants?

I'v been pouring over this thread for the last few hours and I'm feeling very stressed. Just when you thought you had everything all figured out...CHANGE!
Has anyone tried to book an ADR past the 90 day mark? If we call we can book 10 days past 90 when staying on property. Does this apply for the online system as well. My ADR date is Monday, so I have a few more days of stress to look forward to. Remember when vacation planning was fun??? :confused3

HELP!!
I must be an idiot. I can't even find the online stuff to look at . My day comes on Monday.
When I click on the link in the first post, it just takes me to a list of restaurants.
Where do I go??
Try clicking on an individual restaurant's name.

When the list of restaurants comes up, look for the orange button below their pictures for "Book a Reservation" and that will take you through the next step.

They do not require CCs for any more restaurants than they did before, i.e. California Grill, CRT, etc.

I was concerned that they were accepting too many ADRs for free dining until I attempted to get different times for Ohana and Lecellier and they are still completely booked.

Yeah, I'm in the 60-some day out, and I couldn't get different for those, but also for 1900 Park Fare, Garden Grill, and WCC! NOTHING the evenings I'm looking for (was looking to just change the times some). So it does look like if it's full (at least for your party size), then it's full. I think the way people are finding stuff that they were told was full before is simply by cancellations, not Disney opening up way too many tables.

I think the CM's are accessing the same system so no, there aren't some tables specifically for phone reservations and some for online. All going into the same database.

On the lefthand side, you can click the check boxes to narrow your search of restaurants. Say I want to make an ADR for Tony's. I click the check box for "Magic Kingdom", and it narrows my search. Next, Click "Book a Reservation" under the name of the restaurant you want.

It's pretty self explanatory from there on out.

Good Luck!

Thank you.....that eases my mind.
Being on dial up stresses me out enought with these kind of things

OMG, I am having so much anxiety over this and I still have over a month till I can book anything. I love the on-line booking but I used a TA (don't know why) and now am worried I won't get Le Cellier and Ohana the days I want. Sometimes this planning stuff is just way to stressful:scared:.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this, but can anybody tell me why they used a TA?

I ask this specifically of the posters on this board who are now showing concern that, because they used a TA, they are now unable to view, modify or cancel their existing reservations for resorts or ADRs. In the fact that you are online and trying to do this very thing means you can do everything a TA can do and more. I'm not knocking any DISer who uses a TA or even TAs themselves -- I'm actually very curious.

Why not have your TA book your ADR's for you then. Ask how early they would do it. My TA gets up early to book mine and I have never had a problem. The TA doesn't have to be in the office to book the ADR's either on the phone or online.

I also asked my TA about people not being able to pull up their reservations to make their ADR's on the new online system and she told me that Disney is aware and is working to resolve the problem quickly. She also told me that Disney has received a ton of complaints from both guests and travel agents about this issue.

If you can pull up your ressie elsewhere on the site it should work on the ADR sight. You're lucky, I haven't been able to pull up my ressis on any site since I booked it (myself) back in April. So no 90+10 rule online for me.

Maybe you should call Disney and find out the problem. I've been doing my contacting by email but I plan on calling today to see if they can help live.

Okay, I'm quoting myself here but I did just call 407-WDISNEY to remove 1 day from my ressie and to find out why I can't access my ressie online. Turns out the phone number associated with this ressie is over 10 years old. There's no way I would have ever come up with that number :confused3 As it was explained to me even when they change it in one locaiton it may not always change in in the entire system. Which kinda explains why my DD who is turning 10 this trip was still listed as 4 y/o when I made the ressie orginally.

By the way, would someone state whether it has worked for them to book 10 plus days (100, rather than 90) out for ADRs as an on-site guest.

YES! All is good now and I am able to book my ADRs using 90+10. I just booked 'Ohana for our (traditional) last meal, breakfast, on our last day on Sept. 24th. Which is past the 90 mark of Sept. 15th.

Funny thing the CM said on the phone when I told her I was going to booking ADRs online-she thought the system had started up today, I told her I was able to access it yesterday. She said she left work at 3 p.m. and it wasn't up yet. ( I didn't want to argue the time it started with her since I'm pretty sure I booked my 1st 2 before 12 (PST)

Good question. I am asking myself the same thing. I went to a TA because I thought she would be able to get me better pricing and just overall better service with some extra perks and for the most part that has happened. However, I would never ever trust anyone to make my ADRs especially since my 90+10 falls on a Sunday. I had used TA for most of my WDW vacations and never really had an issue but this is my first time using the DDP and ADRs seem much more important to me so I am regretting it now.

Yes, reportedly from users this morning, the 90+10 is working in the online systems.

Of course, there are caveats: You have to have a VALID reservation# and the phone number it was attached to. Valid, at this point, does not extend to DVC ressies or ressies made through a travel agent...

Okay....that worked....but it took 5 minutes to load one reservation page
Guess I am getting up at 3 am and sitting for quite a while :rotfl:

I would also like the answer to the 90+10 ......no use starting Monday if I can't book anything. We don't arrive until very late our first day.

Why not ask your TA if they would make your dining reservations for you. Mine makes them for me no matter the day of the week even if it is a weekend or holiday. When it was over the phone only she would make them at 7am and I would always have an email with my confirmation numbers by 7:30am. You never know until you ask, TA's aren't mind readers and if they don't know what you are thinking or needing they can't help you.

I have gone to Disney over 10 times, I know peanuts compared to others, and my TA has always done my ADR's and I haven't had any issues.
She has also gotten CRT, Le Cellier Chef Mickey, etc when I have asked for them.

So,
based on what I read here, I went into the dining system and attempted to pull up my reservation #. It tells me there is an error and it can't find it. Could this be because I have not hit my 90 days yet?

This happened to me too. But when I go into my vaction to pull up my resort reservation with my phone number, it pulls it up there. So, when I tried to pull up my resort res. under dining, I changed the # to my new phone #, (not the one i made the resort ressie with) & it worked. Weird that it's coming up under diff #'s for the same ressie, but it is.

On another note, I really wish there were something, perhaps a cc # to hold a ressie, maybe to be charged a small fee for not cancelling double, triple... dining res. This would help to do away with those who are always trying to work the system & ruin it for the rest of us :headache:

BTW, can't wait til Sat.

You know, I didn't hear complaints over the past month when those with a TA had a one hour advantage over the REST of us every morning......

That said, it needs to be fair for everyone and I hope they fix it soon. Everyone's trip is special, and they deserve a fair shot.

She would have to get up at 3am on a Sunday since we are on the west coast, she's good but not that good. Guess I'm just to much of a control freak to trust anyone else. Guess I'll just have to do it the old fashion way and call...I can still do that right, even though I used a TA????????
