Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

forgive me if this has been asked:

Can Fantasmic packages be booked online?

Not yet (apparently) but you will, I think

Go here:

To get there, from the "normal" dining page, you click on the "Choose another dining type" drop down, and select special dining event.

Scroll down, and you'll see the Fantasmic packages.

Right now the "book a reservation" button doesn't work, but I'd guess the plan is for it to start working, at some point.
 
Has anyone with a Mac tried to book? I tried last night from home and couldn't....but when I came to work and logged onto my windows based computer, I could....just wondering if my fellow Appl-ites could try and see what happens for them.

OK. Just to be clear. For those who have booked online reservations at their 90 day mark...did the booking calendar show the 10 days as available or not? Did it ask for your reservation number or phone number or did it automatically access this information from your "my disney vacation" information? Sorry to be nosy but there doesn't seem to be much information out there on how this new system really works.

I would like to know also about the 90 + 10. That would be awesome to do all the booking online at the 90 day mark. :thumbsup2

Several who have booked this morning indicated "Yes" that the +10 is available for them. :goodvibes

(Still no word on those who booked DVC or used a TA - apparently those issues are still working themselves out)
 

Just by chance my day to make dining reservations was today. I'm on the west coast so I stayed up until midnight. My arrival day is the 15th of September and only through the 14th was showing up. I went to bed at 12:10 (3:10 Eastern) as I had no idea when or even if the 15th would show up.

When I woke up the 15th was now available but the system wouldn't take my confirmation/phone number even though I can use the same info to view my package elsewhere on the site. I was able to make my reservation for the 15th but nothing else. I wound up calling to make the other reservations.:mad:
 
1. I have a resort reservation booked with 407-W-DISNEY (CRO?). I did not use a TA nor am I a DVC member. My resort reservation confirmation number and phone number are not working with the online dining system. I am still within the 90+10 period, so this means I could not make 90+10 ADRs online if I wanted to; luckily I don't need to because my ADR day was 6/14. (The conf/phone combo is working with My Disney Vacation to see my resort reservation, no problem there.)
Updated 7/3/09: I can now associate my resort reservation with the online dining system.

2. I cannot use the new Dining Reservations page to retrieve ADRs I made on Sunday via phone/wdw-dine. I think it's because I don't know what phone number is associated with the ADRs. I call wdw-dine today, and the CM was confused about what phone number was actually associated with the ADRs. She claimed it was a work number, but that one does not work with the system either. When I asked if the phone number could be changed, she said it could not, and also not to worry about it. (Too bad, because it would be neat to see the ADRs online.)
Updated 7/3/09: I can now retrieve ADRs online that were made via phone, using the phone number I gave to the CM on the phone.

3. Poking around, it looks like maybe Sanaa is not loaded into the system despite the Book a Reservation button being there. I can't see any availability at all, nor does it flip to the other suggestions list.

4. The CM on wdw-dine warned me about having conflicting ADRs. I had a 5:45 for Sanaa (phone ADR) and a 6:05 for Boma (online ADR). She claimed that "guest services" would be looking for conflicts and making cancellations. So, that forced me to make the decision I was planning to make later, about which ADR to keep.

IF you have a reservation number and the correct phone number that the reservation is under, then YES you can book 90 + 10 (though clearly for some reason this is not working for DVC members).
 
Does it have an area for special requests such as guest with allergies or anything like that?:confused3

Once you have made your reservation and get your confirmation number there is an area where you add celebration information and allergy information.
 
Just wanted to post this tip - if you want to have a record of all your ADR's (done on line OR on the phone, just as long as it is on the "new" adr system).

make sure you are logged in. go under "my disney vacation" on the top right- go down to reservations then to dining reservations. There's a space for the ADR # and your phone number that you made the ressie under. You can click to check multiple reservations and put in ALL of your reservations, and when they are located you now have a list of each and every ADR. Enter your email in the spot provided and they will email this entire list to you. Good way to check that all your reservations made by a CM are correct!!!

I went one step further I pulled up all my adr's by conf # from the my disney vac link then copied/pasted into a word doc from there I plan to enter the park hrs and etc info for that day and I have 1 or 2 pgs for each day/adr that I can just put into my bag/pocket to take with me for that day and I have my emailed copy from the wdw dining adr retrival

I can confirm this. I could not find anything for Sanaa for three whole months. I know it's located in Kidani Village, and I know that DVC unit will be popular, but no way can I find Le Cellier, Ohana, Chef Mickey's and CRT spots still available and Sanaa is booked solid. It has not been loaded into the system.

I'm not sure if this has been asked (I couldn't find it) but: On my 90 day mark, if I do on-line booking, is it still 7:00 am or can I do it at any time from 12:01 on?

I made most of them at the same time, all under my home phone number. So, on one phone call I made five ADRs. Two show up, three don't.

ETA: I tried using my cell phone number, just in case, and that didn't work either. I'm stumped.

Now that is wierd, could just be a glich in the system?But I am so paranoid that I think I would call and have a CM confirm the ones that the on line system couldn't find. :confused3
