Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I was able to make a reservation online for two weeks from now, it worked GREAT! This is AWESOME!!!

I just read a few pages back that you CANNOT book 90+10 if you booked through a TA???? Is this true???? We are staying at POFQ. My ADR day is tomorrow!!! Am I paniking over nothing????:confused3:confused3

As of right now, if you booked through a TA you CANNOT do the 90+10. This and those who booked via DVC cannot book the 90+10. It is a known design flaw and apparently they are working on correcting it, though I wouldn't expect a solution between now and tomorrow. Also, it is not yet known if the 90+10 works for anyone, although we won't have true confirmation until tomorrow, from those who try it for the first time.
 
I am making my reservations on Friday....so happy they implemented this today....(sarcasm). Leave some spots for us too!
 
Oh, don't go blaming Vista. If anything, Vista is protecting you from something you shouldn't be doing.

What do you mean when you "click on Find"? What "find" button are you clicking? Because on the Disney Dining page there is no "find" only "search".

You can see the "Find" button on that first image I posted.

I pick the restaurant I want on the Disney site. I then click the "Check Availability" button which is when that pop-up appears with choices of "Find," "Save," or "Cancel."

This pop-up with the "Find" button is not from the Disney site. Obviously, something on IE or Windows is blocking or preventing me from using Disney's site. Just wondering how I fix it so I can utilize this system and also wondering why nobody else is getting this pop-up. :confused:

Sorry. I see it now. Yeah, it's something you have configured in IE that's preventing you from moving onto the next page of the system. I can't say it's a firewall/security issue because there's nothing special about the next page. However, when you click on Check Availability, a pop-up does appear onscreen with a little Mickey head and a circle with rotating fan-wheel -- this is a type of Macromedia/Shockwave splash screen to look at while the system finds your choices. It's possible that your IE does not have the appropriate add-ons/downloads to show this splash screen, and it's doing something screwy as a result. What's happening to you is not the norm, and while I can't tell you exactly what the problem is, that seems the most likely cause. If you're really in a hurry to try the system, you may want to download Mozille Firefox. That may work for you without any problems. I use IE8 myself, but have Firefox for situations just like this. Good luck.

Hi lacey, i have vista and though this isnt what you want to hear i am not having any problems. you may have a security program that is blocking it or a firewall. Try to disable your norton or mcaffee or whatever youa re running and see if that helps.
 
Have you actually tried your res on the dining page? I've also been unable to pull up my hotel reservation online but when I checked out the dining reservations today I put my package confirmation number in and it was able to retrieve my res. Still can't pull it up through my reservations page though.

Some of us can't find it on the dining page either. I have booked ADRs and they are not showing up.

Thanks both of you for replying. I will try to dig around on my laptop and see what I can find that is preventing me. I just hope I don't mess anything up too badly being the computer dummy that I am :goodvibes
 
Just went to check the system and maybe I'm missing something...but I didn't see the option to book H&V Fantasmic dinner pkg vs. just a plain ressie at H&V. Has anyone been able to book the Fpkg online?

Also, when your 90 day window opens....is it 12:01am you can start w/ the online system....or at 7am when the phones open? (both EST)

Fantasmic packages have to be booked by calling.
 
I booked CM for the wrong amount of people online. Went back & booked for the correct amount. Now I want to cancel the first, incorrect ADR. How do I do that?

Forgive me if I am misunderstanding you or the original poster but I think we may be getting confused on which confirmation numbers we're talking about? I took the original poster to mean they were unable to pull up their package/resort confirmation number online, which I am also unable to do. I take you as saying you are unable to pull up ADR confirmation numbers. What I was saying is that even though I am unable to pull up my resort confirmation number thru the my reservations page, if I go to dining and enter my resort confirmation number it does find it there.

Is your 90+10 today? It will be a great system when it works for everyone, which is not the case right now.

go under my reservation and type in the confirm number for the ressie you want to cancel and hit retrieve, when you see the ressie there is a cancel button on the right click that can the next page that pops up should show the ressie as cancelled. Hope that helps

You can pull up any reservation with the confirmation # and phone # and there will be a button to cancel.

I was actually able to pull up the ADR's I made by phone, and I canceled one of them after I was able to get a better time online.

I was also able to add my niece's bday to my CRT reservation- was going to call to do it, but it's nice to be able to do it online.

Only problem I noticed is that after I pulled up all my ADR's, I tried to email them to myself; I received a blank email. (when I made a new ADR, the email came through fine)

I'm such a Disney geek- this is all too much fun. :rotfl:

I cant pull up either. My room reservation I can understand as it is with DVC. My dining reservations were made by calling Disney Dining, and I have the dining confirmation numbers and my phone number and it does not work.
