Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Disney could do with little effort is to put the resorts in alphabetical order. It's small but there were a few times I scanned though more than once to find a particular resort.

When the system says "no availability" and that it has "checked 1 hour before and after requested time".... Did you find that to be accurate?

Wondering if it would be worth my time to try to request a 6:45 if a 6:00 is unavailable.

90-Day Mark is Wed........ Thanks!

There is a "Sort" drop-down menu at the top of the dining page. You can click to sort alphabetically. 'Ohana comes up first because of the apostrophe.

A quick question for those that may know:

Do you have to do an ADR on your day of arrival to get the 90+10 online?

(I'm arriving on Sept 25th and thinking of just doing a CS meal that day, my first ADR would be for Sept 26th)

I've read every post here and would like to say Thanks to all who have posted their experience and given tips for those of us waiting to try online booking :thumbsup2

I've noticed that when you start to add resorts under the "Narrow your Search" filter (after ticking all the parks) it goes back to 0?
But if you leave everything unchecked it displays 209 restaurants.

I was trying to just have the areas I wanted to book loaded but it doesn't look like that it possible?

The problem comes when you try to filter by both resort and park. If you check all 4 parks, those come up properly. If you check only the resorts you want, those come up properly. But if you check even one park and one resort, you get 0 results.

I used the online system this morning, just got done about 15 minutes ago.

Worked fine for me... or at least it seemed to! Got a confirmation number for each ressie.

Here's what we got:

Sun 9/20: Yak & Yeti lunch 1:00 PM
Mon 9/21: Akershus Princess lunch 12:10 PM; Artist Point dinner 5:35 PM
Tues 9/22: SciFi lunch 11:45 AM; Marrakesh dinner 6:00 PM
Wed 9/23: CRT lunch 1:05 PM

No, I didn't have to. We are arriving 9/19 but I didn't make a reservation for that day, our first ressie is on 9/20. It worked fine for me.

Well after 50 minutes on hold (after the on-line ressies proved impossible for me) I got almost everything we wanted for our party of 10...

Cinderella's Royal table at 12:05 p.m.
Chef Mickey's for dinner at 5:25
Crystal Palace at 4:45 (going to try tomorrow for a better time when it opens up for Sept 20th)
Ohana Dinner 5:30
Boma Dinner 5:45
Garden Grill 5:45
Sci-Fi Dine in Theater 4:30 (hope to make this a tad later too)

We had wanted a Mama Melrose or Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package but nothing was available during all 9 days of our stay. So I chose Sci Fi---hopefully the kids will like that. It seems like since they cut down on the number of Fantasmic showings the package has gotten harder and harder to book.

I know I read somewhere that you can make ADR reservations online now. I've already made mine and I just want to confirm them. Just wondering if you can do that online as well?

Sure you can go the WDW hme page, click on the "My Disney Vacation" link and at the bottom you will see Dining Reservations, there you can add the ADR# and phone # used when making the resies and tada.....

I was able to complete the third and last leg of our split stay today, and the 90+10 worked great once I put in my reservation number after going to the dining reservations page and pulling up a certain restaurant. It then asked if I wanted to associate a resort reservation and that's when I was able to input it.

My first CRO reservation still does not work on the reservations page and I can't see online any of the dining reservations made with that. Someone a couple of pages back suggested CRO ressies made prior to when the switched to a new system are unable to be pulled up. That sure seems to be what is happening to us as we made this last reservation after the "switch" by CRO.

I just got off the phone with a CM to ask a few questions. I have never had a bad experience with them and this particular CM was so rude!!!!! I hope this is not a sign of our up coming trip!!!! To boot she did not even with me a magical day!!!! I was nice, I am always pleasant, I too have worked in customer service for years so it was not on my end!!!! I wish I could book online now!!!!

Is there a tutorial somewhere? I can't figure out how to use the online ADR's to take advantage of 90 + 10.

We can't make our ADR's until July 15th however I have read that you can now book online. Which option is better and at what time can you start booking online? Thanks, Linda

Once you click "Book a Reservation" and the booking system comes up, right above where you put in the date & time you are looking for there is a sentence about logging in and retrieving your reservation. Click on the "retrieve your reservation" link and input your confirmation number & phone number. Then it should bring up the +10 days.

I'm glad you got what you wanted to my fellow struggler LOL!!

I can now log into my reservation page in my bookings but still cant get into the dining reservations page at all - at least I can say now I saw the sunrise this year!

I'm not sure either is better--or worse--than the other. Online is sort of "free", so you won't be paying for the phone call(s).
But I'm hearing there have been a # of glitches with the new online system (which many predicted would happen) so when my window opens I think I'll still be calling.
