Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

Hiya

Can anyone help me.
We have been trying since our 90 day window and have not manaed to get any reservations we want so far.
We cannot find where to book online to check regualry and are based in the uk

any suggestions ? :confused3

It took me a bit to find where to put in my resort reservation number!

1. go to page 1 of this thread - a lot of great info! Then click on the link listed
(Online ADR's have been launched for the general public. Click here http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/) This link takes you to the dining page so that you can figure out which restaurants you may want...

(Make sure you are logged in at disney.go.com btw ETA: make sure you are not trapped in the UK version of disney.go.com Thanks to popsynicthat posted below how to get to the US version!!)

I found where to put in resort reservation number under reservations, scroll down for that box...

If y ou are staying offsite, you can go to the link posted on page 1 (or above) Then click on the restaurant you want to go to - on the far left side it says: (under the picture of the restaurant you clicked on) overview or make a reservation - click on make a reservation!!

There may be an easier way - it took me awhile to find stuff - there have been great tips and hints posted these past few pages!

I think you are probably 'trapped' in the UK Disney site, which web browsers from the UK get defaulted to - this does not have an online dining reservation feature - you need to acces the American Disney site directly

To do this look towards top left and see if there is a little bit of text which says 'Visit US Site' - click it.

You should now be in the US version of the disney site. The top menu says DISCOVER - PLAN - BOOK. Hover your mouse over BOOK and choose DINING. From here you can browse the dining options, and any restaurants with a reservation facility will include a button which says MAKE RESERVATION. You can also search for dining options. I think once you get there it will be obvious.

Thats a great suggestion about bookmarking each restaurant. I started doing that now ( only 3 weeks to go!) and am bookmarking the actual make a reservation page for each restaurant. Then I started wondering---If those will open tied to the reservation or if I should be bookmarking the main 'info' page for each place then just go to the make a reservation link at that time???

I know you can begin making online ADRs at 6:00 a.m. ET, but how late can you make them? Does the booking system close at a certain time in the evening?

I've heard it closes around 3 or so to reload, but never stayed up just to see!

Yes, they will open tied to the reservation.
I did exactly what you're doing, bookmarking the actual "make a reservation page" for each restaurant.
On our ADR day before 6:00 I went to Disney's main site and logged in (I don't know if you really need to do this, but I did just in case). Then I opened my first reservation page and retrieved my resort reservation. Once the page reloaded confirming that the reservation would be "associated" with my resort reservation I opened the other tabs and selected a different restaurant reservation page in each one. Each restaurant's reservation page loaded properly, already associated with my resort reservation and ready to go.

I refreshed each page at 6:01 to get the 90 + 10 to open in the calendar.

Also, FYI, even though you are working in different tabs for different restaurants they will all end up in the same shopping cart (up to a maximum of 10), so when you're finished making all of your reservations you just have to check out once.

I hope I explained this ok. Sometimes I can be confusing - at least my DH thinks so!

great idea thanks

Please pardon my computer idiocy, but how do you bookmark a page? :confused3

There are some ADRs that we are really hoping to get. With all the "Free Dining" offers, what do you think the chances are of getting Le Cellier & Whispering Canyon (MVMCP night but early...5pm)? We are travelling first week of December.

If you are using Windows I think at the top there should be a 'favorites' tab-- click it and there should be a place to click, save as favorite. On Firefox its the bookmarks tab at the top of the screen...

I'm nervously waiting for Aug 19-- I have a bookmark page for the places we want (Wave, Blue Zoo, CP, LTT, Tutto, Boma, Yak)and should work according to the previous poster's brilliant scheme...!!

Hopefully all the people jumping on the free dining to the public bandwagon wont make it too horribly crowded the week before Tday in November!

It doesn't seem to work for me. Keeps trying to down load some file named "quote" onto my PC. Also won't bring up the calendar for me to pick a date. Bummer. I guess I will be calling in the morning.

Anyone get this message...

To make your reservation, please enter the requested information:

What does that mean? When I click on the E..... it does nothing.

The online system is available 24/7 (apart from maintenance). It does not "open" at 6am and you can book before then, however 6am is the time that they make available a new day's worth of bookings for the 90-days-out folks.

I just booked Le Cellier, Ohana, Teppen Edo, PSB and Boma, and got every date and time I wanted for a late Oct. trip. I just made sure I was all signed in and ready to go at 6:01 east.

I was trying to book whispering canyon also, but when I got to the end of check out, it would only book 5 places at a time. So, make sure that your top 5 choices are what you book 1st.

I will do WC later, it is for a lunch, so i am not worried about getting in.

I started making Adrs at 6:01 and was finished(with the first 5) by 6:23. Then the whole booking system went down!! I was so happy that I had mine done--must of had some pixie dust!!:wizard:

Have you tried clearing your browser's cookies and temporary internet files? That might clear up your issues. It's worth a shot! Good luck.

Why do I have to type in each confirmation number to retrieve my ADR list?? I thought they would be all tied in with my reservation or phone number?? And they would all be listed. Right now, I have to type all the confirmation numbers in seperately to retrieve them. Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry if this has been answered but we have a Grand Gathering with 16 people. Can we make online ADRs at all or do we have to go thru the GG phone number?

Can we make online ADRs for the same Restaurant for 4 parties of 4 for the same time or will the system kick it out as a duplicate? (We won't be seated altogether at most places anyway so we are fine with being at separate tables).

Thanks for any help!
