Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

I figured it out - Disney doesn't like Google Chrome. I personally love it and try to use it exclusively, but for some reason it won't allow the age to pull up. Anyway, I'm back in business!:thumbsup2

there are 3 in my dining party. There are 6 joining us mid week. Can I book a ressie for 9 on my 90th day or have to wait for them to book on their 90th day. Cinderellas castle!!!

Unfortunately I am now waiting to call at 7:00 because the darn system charged me for CRT even though we are on the DP.

I got it sorted out. The CM I spoke to said something about the online system booking under a different system than central dining and that she could go in & rebook CRT under our dining plan. I thought they were both under the same system. Either way, I got my new ressie for only 5 minutes later, my credit card has been refunded, and I can pull my new reservation up online. All is right with the world.

I know there have been threads about tips on making the online ADR - I was able to find these:

I did my ADR's on June 27th and I loggged in before 6am but didn't retrieve my room reservation info until after 6am. I started "loading" the restaurants at 6:01am and pretty much got all that I wanted within 1/2 hour of original wish list.

HTH

(eta - I think you clear cookies, history etc IF you have logged in before your 90 day mark to see if the system recognizes your resort reservation number - ???

At that point it will open the +10 days.

You can try it now just to see if it will find your reservation even though it won't open up any days for you.

ETA: This is on the screen where you enter the date and number of guests -- before you type in the squiggly words.
Fantastic! Thank you, Kim. I finally get it. That works!

Are there any more???

I hope this isn't the 10,000 post for the same thing :lmao:, but I was wondering; is there a way to see all your online ADR's at one time? Or, do you have to enter each confirmation number and look at each ressie individually? Thanks in advance.

I had previously read about other posters having this problem, but then there were people who said they had no problem at all. They said the system just asked for their CC number to guarantee their reservation and at check out they were charged nothing.

It wasn't really a huge deal to get it fixed. I was on hold maybe 5 - 10 minutes and the CM was able to get us pretty much the same time (only 5 minutes later). She did ask me if I had associated the ADR with my resort ressie and I had, so she couldn't really explain the problem (she said I could have gone through the technical support link at the bottom of the ADR confirmation page to try to get the problem fixed - I don't know how long that would have taken to get it solved).

I guess worst case scenario - ie. if the system charges you and when you call the CM can't get you a new reservation time - I wonder if you could keep your initial reservation and have it sorted out at the restaurant when you go (get them to refund your credit card & bill the meal to your DP) :confused3

So happy for you:cool1:

Thanks! We're very excited now!

When I was double checking this morning, if I remember correctly, when I put in one confirmation # & our phone number I had the option of retrieving all of our ADR's.

I did an ADR online for Planet Hollywood (as my mother got a voucher for $15 from AAA). I put it in her name, and managed to get a late lunch time reservation the last full day of our vacation with my niece and nephew. Good thing my cell phone has email capability and I can set calendar reminders on it. I will print out the ADR too for my mother's reference.

I just logged in to make my ADRs and it won't allow me to do anything past our date of arrival (10/25). I'm trying to make a ressie for 10 days out and pulled up my ressie and everything and it won't let me. FRUSTRATED!

Newbie to the making your own ADR's.... I need some expert advice!

I suppose this question has been asked, but this thread is DANG LONG and it's only been since June that this has been available!

Anyway........I've been looking over on the reservation site and I was wondering- is there any way to make a list on the site of the restaurants you want to eat at, and save that list so when you're ready to make your ADR you can juts pull that list up and make them?

What's the easiest, most effective way to make your ressies? it seems a tad confusing when I play on the site. THANKS

If you are logged into the site you can add things to your "favorites" like restaurants or rides or shows. :thumbsup2

What I did ahead of time was go to the actual reservation page of each restaurant I wanted and booked marked that as a favorite in a folder on my computer (not under favorites on Disney's website). It took some time to do, but I think in the end it was faster than dealing with Disney's website to retrieve favorites saved there. Then on our ADR day, as others have mentioned, I logged into Disney, brought up the reservation page for the first restaurant (by selecting it from "favorites" on my own computer) and associated it with my resort reservation. Then I opened new tabs and brought up other restaurants in the new tabs (I did three). They were already linked to my reservation. At 6:01 I refreshed the tabs and I was all set to go. It went very quickly and smoothly. :thumbsup2

I am freaking out!!

I only have 1 day to get ready to book, and I can't even figure out how to add a resturant to my favorites!!

When I click on my favorites, I get all the attractions that I had picked for my customized maps I had made 2 yrs. ago.

Can somebody tell me what to click on to add something to your favorites and should I erase all the attractions?

Please Help!!:scared1:

As I mentioned in my previous post, don't bother trying to save the restaurants as favorites on Disney's website, just bookmark them in a folder in your favorites list on your own computer.

Awesome tip - thank you so much for taking the time to share it - here's me hoping it can be added to the first page FAQ's or on a tip on the 1st page, I have a bit of time to wait to make my adr's!!

Thanks for the thorough run-thru of your reservation experience. That really helps when planning for my own. I need all the help that I can get since I'll be making them at 3am our time and will only be half away.
