Online ADRs Thread (Updated FAQ 9/9/9)

This is my total fear for my ADR day in 2 days. Did you log on after 6am? Did you play w/ the system beforehand and did/does it recongnize your reservation info? If the answer to these questions are all yes, then I'm extra super scared now. I'm sure you did this...but did you hit 'refresh'? Or maybe you could log all the way out and go back in? Please tell me the +10 came up for you by now! good luck.

Ok I am up and thought I would try things out today since I will also be making our ADR on Sun. Of course I can't log in since my 90 days is not here yet but I did try to get a few things for 10/1, the first 6 resturants I put in for had no availability. I have a few back up plans but I really want several to fall within our plans.

What has Disney done to us This is our 5th Oct. (same timeframe) and our 2nd free dining and I have never had any trouble getting what we wanted at exactly 7am. I feel like the days of calling on the days your ADR's open up and getting things taken care of is over. Looks like we are all going to be spending a lot of time on the Disney Resturants site, calling Disney Reservations and begging on the dis for cancellations.

I'm having trouble getting HDDR. It seems like it wants to give you the best seats and I can't find a way of getting the 2nd or 3rd Tier to come up.

I have logged in logged out tried everything. Even went to another computer. So upset now. I have 30 ADR's to make.

OMG, that totally sucks. I'm so so sorry for you. I have a stomach ache thinking about this happening to me in 2 days. It's just minutes til the clock hits 7am, I guess you're stuck calling. I hope you still get what you want. 30 ADRs...holy cow!

I'm sorry, I have no idea. I hope someone can help you. Let us know how you make out on the phone.

I just thought I would check for the next day and I was able to.

Now I don't know if I should get up at 3am tomorrow to see if I can book the 12th!

I wouldn't bother waking up early, from what I've read it's your +10 you can do right away then you have to wait until 90 days prior to your 11th day before booking it and you have to go day by day at that point. But by then FD is over (not for you, I know) but in general it's over...so you shouldn't have a big problem getting into TS's.

We are splitting our stay between 2 resorts. Will we have difficulty with 90 plus 10 online?

Yes- I had to wait to book on my second stay even thought they ran concurrent - I still got all my ADR's but wasnt able to take advantage of the 90 + 10 grrrr tried online and on the phone but was told I had to wait

correct, the second part of my stay had 14 days and I had to book the last 3 days a day later for each one - there are few people who have such long stays and I got every ressie I wanted - I put those in highest demand at the end hoping there would be fewer people booking them and it seemed to work

I checked my reservations and all the ones I booked were there. Later I checked again and now I can't find them.

I didn't write down the reservation # so now how do I find them. They are there as I phoned and had a CM add a dietary requirement to one-before I found out that they aren't on my reservations anymore.

Yes you will. I can't book past my first check out online. I called WDW Dine and they wouldn't book anything past my checkout either. The part the REALLY steams me is that I am at BLT from 10-1 to 10-4, but I have two reservation numbers due to getting a waitlist day from 10-3 to 10-4. I CAN'T BOOK 10-4 because the computer views it as a seperate check in and out day, so I can't even TRY to get the Fantasmic Dinner package on the 4th I was trying to get. Ridiculously bad programming on Disney's part and poor guest service. Not the person taking reservations fault... just frustrating especially waking up early to call.

I COMPLETELY agree! This is our 4th trip at this time of yr and 2nd w/ free dining. I was able to book my ADRs on Tues. but boy, it was tough! I have most of what I was looking for but not at great times. And the one that totally befuddles me is Sci Fi?? It's not a Fantasmic Day either. The only lunch I could get was 1:30 and now it's even later! I'm hoping tomorrow at the 90day mark more will be released. but the whole ADVANTAGE to staying onsite is you book at 90+10 and be done w/ it. Not have to keep calling or logging on and checking. I think ppl are double booking and not canceling and hedging their bets. While this is on the Disney site, they haven't started advertising it's availability. Heaven help us when they do. This is a fiasco!

How do you edit a dining reservation?
I can retreive the ressie but the only function I see is to cancel it.

That's part of the problem. You can't "edit" it. So you go in, try to book again for what you want, then have to go back and cancel the other. Many ppl aren't cancelling b/c they want to hedge their bets and keep multiple options open....but I also think many aren't cancelling as it's not completely straight forward and does take effort.

Only bright side I can see to this is there will probably be more walk-in availability as the restaurants will not be as packed as this system is booked. LOL (in a sad way)

Has anyone found any reference in terms and conditions on the website that outline (what we know is the actual policy regardless, i.e.) that if you double-book you run the risk of both reservations being canceled. It would be interesting to see if putting this online has made more of the policy transparent to guests.

I can't wait for this w/e to be over!! I was woken up by one of my girls at 4am, escorted her back to bed, then laid in my bed waiting over an hr for sleep to come...no luck. I finally rolled out of bed and came downstairs just after 5. I sooooo have Disney ADRs on the brain. It's sad!

I feel like I have too many important ones and I'm only setting myself up for disappointment. I now know after playing w/ the online system exactly one wk before I needed to that I can FORGET CM my first night. what was I thinking?!?!?! I do want CM, though, so I'll aim for later in the trip. I also want a 1900PF dinner, PSB (L or D), CP 8am breakfast (on one particular day only), a Tusker breakfast (again, on one particular day only but AK day could be moved around), Coral Reef (L or D)...my other not so important ones are Garden Grill, Wave and SciFi (we'll need 7 total when all is said and done). We don't have park hoppers...so my ADRs are really planning my wk. Right now I'm trying to plan my ADRs around the parks I want to be in that day, but I have a feeling that once I get online my ADRs will totally dictate/move around my park days. big sigh. I just want 6am on Sunday to come NOW!! I need sleep again! Good luck to you!

We're not hopping this trip either. I'm working on my ADR sheet right now, and instead of listing dates, followed by the ADR I want, I'm listing the ADRs I want, followed by the dates of my trip in preferential order:

Chef Mickey's - 2, 3, 8, 4, 10
Ohana - 3, 2,4, 7, 8, 10

Crazy, huh?
