Online ADR's could be close

Oh my goodness, what a time to launch it - peak season with free dining.

As much as I hate phones I'm glad I've made the ADRs that I want to for my trip this summer. I can see a lot of problems and confusion looming especially with people making more bookings than usual because it's so much easier to get carried away on-line.

Hmm, ive mixed feelings about this ! i wanted it to happen but not until after i had made my ADR's for october ;)

Hopefully by we get to our July booking time any kinks might be ironed out.:thumbsup2 Over on the restaurants board they think May 26th might be the live date.
I presume you could still book by phone though if you'd rather not do them online...

i don't mind doing it online if they HAVE ironed out the kinks ;) perhaps i will let Joh book them !

What if we've already made ours by the time it becomes available online can we still change online?

I have mixed feelings too - I can make my first lot on 28th May so no doubt it will be very slow or not even available. The only problem is, phoning up is not any quicker these days either.:sad2:

I'm not sure about this? :confused3

I am a bit phone shy so it's kind of a better option for me, but once I get speaking to a cast member I actually enjoy it.

Also, if I use the online system, everything will go wrong! I'll select the wrong date or laptop will crash half way through. Always happens to me because DH works in I.T! lol

Wow never thought it would happen! Good news though as I will be able to make them from work and not have to take the day off!

Looks like you might still need a reservation number that the system will recognize... Not sure a Virgin Holidays one would work! :sad2:

I've phoned up twice recently. Both times I have rung at about 4pm UK time and have got through to a CM immediately. Admitidly the first time there were problems with their system and the CM suggeted I ring back later (but the call wasn't totally fruitless as I managed to get my Disney reservation number that time.)

That was the flaw I spotted. A VH one definitely will not work and I can also see problems with telephone number formatting.

So is it still 90 days before we can book? How will that work exactly, could you book from midnight USA time so 0500 here?

Hopefully you guys will have it all sussed out before I need to use it in January!

I could be great but I have a feeling it will be frustrating!

I have just been reading several posts on the restaurant board that now say on line reservations will start this Monday and you can go on line from 6:00am (11:am our time) so an hour before the dining line opens. However you need your reservation number to log on. I wonder how this would work with the UK reservation numbers which the US system doesn't seem to recognise? I guess you will need your US number to access the on line dining or will it be offered through the UK site too?

it would be a lot easier if you were given just the one reservation number when booking your hol :confused3, i guess that would be too easy :lmao:

But what if you are staying off property - does this mean you will not be able to make ADR's online? If so, that is excluding a lot of disney guests visiting parks but not staying at a disney resort
