Online ADR booking could be here soon

When we went in 2007 I just said we had booked with a UK TA and gave them that booking number and it was OK however I've just been reading on the restaurants forum about USA guests having real problems if they haven't got a reservation number and also someone said you can't book two meals in the same time period (not sure what that means but they gave the example of not being able to book a late lunch at 4pm and a dinner at 9pm as they were in the same time period). Making ours in April so have to see what happens, have already got T Rex booked though so at least we'll be eating one meal

Glad it has changed, we are under 180 days to plan 16 days of free DDP and just can't think about it so far away. The online system would get me motivated, I would have to try it.

Same here, I am enjoying not having to worry about booking for October for a while yet as I have another trip before then. I am not booking any ADRs at all for April as me and DD decided to save the money for October instead which is going to be our special trip.

I'm glad they're doing that since it should go some way to preventing people from making multiple reservations because they can't make their mind up, limiting choice for others.

Aaarrgghh, Just tried to make our ADR's today is the 1st day and just as i thought cant get thru to a CM, After dialling in and using the new voice reconigtion system i get thru within about 5 mins to be told you can no longer book with us for ADR's after the 24.5.09 i need to transfer you to another CM ( i did ask for a new number she said there isnt one u still need to call us 1st ? ) So i then sit on hold for 40 mins and give up ,

Done this process twice now just to make sure i didnt get a dumb CM 1st time around, how hard do they want to make this for us ????

sorry just venting my frustration.....
