It's finally getting closer... we leave one week from today and will be in the parks by early evening next Friday! I am so excited to go and I really need a mini-vacay!

I work in higher education and the back to school rush has been a really hectic one this year! It's hard to believe that a year ago today was my last day in the office before 12 weeks of maternity leave, and that my precious DS will be turning 1 in 10 short days. They aren't kidding when they say that time goes faster the older you get, and that it especially speeds up when you have kids. It really feels like it was a month ago, and not 10 months ago that DS made his first pilgrimmage to the sacred shrine of Disney and now we are almost ready to celebrate that all important first birthday there!

Just wait until you wake up one morning and realize your baby is a MAN! :scared1: (Young Man, but Man nonetheless) My baby, DS #1 will be 20 in less than one month. You never really realize how much time flies until you have children. :confused3 I regret not spending vacation time with him when he was little. He is not a "theme park fan" and doesn't enjoy DLR as much as the rest of our kids. He just never experienced the magic when he was younger. His first trip was when he was a sophomore in High School and he was with his band group. It was just okay, nothing great. So, now we have to try to convert him and that will be much harder now that he is older!

Hope you have a really great time with your family and especially celebrating a b-day. That is such a fun thing to do!

i knoooooooooow what you mean! my goodness, i feel like i just had my son, and now hes almost two! when i was preggo...time went soooooo slow! felt like i was preggo for 5 years...but as soon as he popped out, days just fly by. it makes me so sad :( im with him practically 24/7, and i just always make sure i take in every moment with him, b/c i know ill miss these days once they're gone....i already miss his infant days! lol

have a great trip though...one week...sooo exciting!! start packing!:)

ME TOO! This time next Friday I should 'nearly be there' from our drive across the desert! :cool1: Meeting cruise mates from the EastBound Panama Canal crossing for a WEDDING and a couple of days in the parks.

My "baby" is 20, moving to Idaho and is pregnant with my first grandbaby! LOL I swear I can remember her birth, taking her to Kindergarten, middle school, high school......they grow up so fast. My 2 youngest are 8 and 12 and I still can't believe my baby "baby" is 8!!!!! lol Have fun on your trip, that's what Disney is for, making the magic!!
