We will be leaving for "home" one week from today (Sat). It will be our first stay at our home resort (BWV). I am ready to burst! I wish I was leaving right now! My 2 DS's are starting to feel it too but my DW always gets nervous when it gets close. I wish she could share our enthusiasm. Once we get there and get settled in, she seems to have a great time but the anticipation of leaving always makes her nervous.
Any last minute tips from BWV vets is greatly appreciated. We're going to spend our weekend (pre)packing. Getting everything ready. Going over my checklist, etc.
I'll have my lime green ribbon on my backpack so if you see us, say "hi". I'll be looking for the ribbons too.
I've been really going over these boards looking for every tip I could find and I'm sure I'll have a few last minute questions too.
I plan on taking lots of pictures and will try and have an indepth trip report when we get back (I have mixed emotions when I read trip reports, they make me miss it SOOOO MUCH but then again, it makes me anticipate my next trip too).
Well, enough of my ramblings. Hope to see some of you DIS'ers there.

DVCDudes, Your kids will love the Community Hall. We leave for the Hard Rock Wed., then the Boardwalk on Monday, see you by the pool. I'll be the guy who's really sunburned, watching my 4 yr old go down the slide with her purple toobee.

Hi dvcdudes....we'll be checking out when you check in. we will spend 1 day and night at BW before we leave on Saturday for the 7 day cruise! Have a great time! I know we will! Maybe we'll meet at the Long Island Dis meet!

Have a wonderful vacation we are DVC owners since 1993 and I still have no regrets after many wonderful WDW vacations.

We will be arriving home on Friday (2/16)!

This will be our first visit as DVC members and I can't wait to stay at the BWV.

The waiting is killing me, but only six more days.

It is also our first at the Home! We could only get into the OKW last year after we joined. Am totally psyched about being at the BWV! We are arriving feb 17th and staying until the 23rd! See you there! with our three kids DD10, DS8 and DS 5! And what is this ribbon thing about, please explain! Do the DVCers wear a lime ribbon?

Our first visit home (BWV) will be this Saturday too and I can not wait!! My family thinks I'm nuts because MY things are packed and have been for weeks!!
Please say a prayer that there won't be any flight cancellations or delays due to weather (or anything else!) in Michigan or Ohio on February 17th! Thanks!

PatPat15.

The lime green ribbon is the official "symbol" of the DIS. We all wear those while we're in the parks, or around the resorts, and are encouraged to introduce ourselves when we run into fellow DIS'ers.

Try as I might, I forget mine every time. I'm gonna try really hard to remember in April.

We made our first reservations last May... and finally the countdown is just days away. We are staying at BWV for our first time and will be there from 2/18 through 2/25. Looks like we will have plenty of company (...and plenty of neighbors from Long Island. We are from Centerport.)

I can't believe how many LI'ers are going to be there at the same time and so many first timmers too. Patpat15, your practically my next door neighbor. I hope to meet some of you there. I'll be the one with the ear to ear smile tatood on my face. We'll be arriving in our big white conversion van and you'll see my 2 DS's (11&7) running out with their bathing suits on heading for the pool slide as soon as the wheels stop rolling.
Only 5 more days now. I haven't been on hear much over the weekend because I've been packing and getting the van in order.
Let me know who else will be there.

Hi DVCDudes from Westbury. Wish you could fit us into your luggage. We could be at your house in 15 minutes. ;) Have a great time. Don't forget your air sickness pills, ear plugs for yourself and your kids (they make them for kids too), your moleskin with small scissor, fan, suntan lotion, extra ziplock bags (comes in really handy), hats, safety pins, rubber bands, medication, and a journal with pen to write your notes for your trip report. ;)

Our home base is OKW and we absolutely love it. Have a blast at BWV. We have only visited the Boardwalk. We will be counting down with you. Where are you flying out of and what airline? We are leaving in September out of MacArthur with Delta Express.

all I can say is:

Tomorrow, tomorrow, we're leaving tomorrow :D

disneyokw, I wish we were flying but my DW and my oldest DS are somewhat afraid to fly. We drove for the first time two years ago because we couldn't find airfare under $350 pp. Now that we could get tickets for a little over $150, they don't ever want to fly again. :(
Oh well, I get myself a few books on tape and the time passes quickly. I have a conversion van with a tv, vcr, and nintendo for the kids, so they're kept busy and my DW sleeps the time away. It takes about 18 hrs.
