I assume you aren't staying onsite so won't have FOTL? What days of the week will you be at Universal? That may help some here provide you with more info on the crowds, etc.. I think if you are trying to fit alot into a short amount of time, you should probably make reservations where you want to eat. It will just save you time. You can make reservations while in the park. For USO, definitely hit Neutron and Shrek first. I would then head towards MIB, BTTF and work your way around to Jaws, Earthquake, Twister and other shows. Don't miss the Horror Makeup Show. It's hysterical!
At IOA, go to Hulk and Spiderman first and Dr. Doom while you are there. That area will be the most crowded. But I don't know...maybe it won't be that crowded depending on when you will be there. After Marvel Super Hero Island, go on over to Seuss and let the little one play and ride the rides then you can head over to Lost Continent for Deuling Dragons, Poseiden, and the Flying Unicorn (if the little one is big enough to ride). That would break up the rides well so the little one would not get bored. Then you can go to JP where there is a lot of fun interactive stuff for kids. Wind your way back thru Toon Lagoon and if the line for Spiderman isn't bad, ride it again!
