One Week From Today!!!

At 7am next Friday, we will be taking off from Philadelphia Int'l for 8 days at the Wilderness Lodge. This will be our first time at a Deluxe, only our second at a Disney resort (first time was AS Sports). This will be our son's first trip (15 months old) and my parents first trip. We are using Jimmy's limo service. He sounds great! We have a ton of great PS arrangements awaiting us: Le Cellier(2), Chef Mickey dinner, Crystal Palace breakfast, Sci-FI, Whispering Canyon (2) as well as Boma and Hollywood and Vine for Fantasmic Dinner Package. There are others, but I can't remember them right now. Anyway, this is the first of three trips we are taking using our Annual Passes. The next one will be in the beginning of December at one of the Lodges (we have deposits on both) and one next mid-July. Anyway, I read these boards all the time and I post only once in a while. Just wanted to share our excitement with all of you.

Any suggestions for our stay at the WL, transportation, meals, traveling with a party of five, traveling with a little one. Any help would be appreciated because although we (my wife and I) are Disney Vets, all of the above circumstances will be completely new for us. Thanks and have a great day!

Your plans sound really top-notch You are going to have an amazing time! The WL is so beautiful - and sounds perfect for your family.
I would recommend giving yourself plenty of time to get to where you are going. For example, if you go to EMH at MK (and I recommend that you DO), plan to get down to the boat dock at around 7:20am, when the park is going to open at 8am. So that if you have to wait 10 or 15 min. for a boat, you will still be there before opening...
Take the boat from WL to Contemporary for your dinner at Chef Mickey's (we did this April and it was so convenient - awesome!) and also to hop the monorail to Epcot. Just be sure to take the elevator to the correct floor for the monorail if your son is in a stroller)!
ENJOY yourself and your family Your parents are going to FLIP! The WL is a wonderful place - beautiful... jaw-droppingly so, but serene. And the CMs are the BEST!
You really have an awesome trip planned - good for you!

Whispering canyon's is tooo coool!!!! If you have any clothing or hats from Universal Studio's wear it, the "staff" will bust you till no end, also when you order a soda ask for a Pepsi - and see what happens. Our kids really liked the wooden hores race, we have 2 reservations for there also - one for breakfast and one for dinner. WL is a fantastic resort, the pool is just beautiful, also the guyser is neat. When you check in ask if your family can be a flag family - you will put up the flag one morning on the roof of the lodge, alot of people know about this now so you may not get it - but ask anyway it is a great experience! Enjoy your trip - maybe we will run into you!
