One Week, Four Resorts (SSR Pool Pictures Added)

Thanks for the great pictures. I love Donald standing by the side of the pool!

While I don't think any Deluxe room will compare to a DVC one-bedroom, you are comparing the smallest of the rooms when you compare it to WL. The WL rooms are about the size of a moderate room (I think CBR may even be bigger).

WL rooms are about 340 square feet - tied with AKL for smallest standard sized rooms

I think the mods are 314 square feet

thanks

You have made my day with the real life pics of my new home!

I am sooo excited! Thanks for the detective work!

Thanks for the report Rwethereyet. Glad u had a nice time---enjoyed the pics of SSR. Also, you reminded me that I have to add "non handicapped" room to my ressie requests at HH.

Just wanted to add my thanks for your sleuthing!

Might this pool be one of the queit pools and not the main pool? It looks small to me as well.

I've been vexed by the issue of perspective, as well. Why isn't there a worker chest deep in the pool trying to fix something to give us an idea of the size?
From the buildings around it, the zero entry feature and the slide -- there can be no doubt this is High Rock Springs pool.
Are there going to be hot tubs at SSR? I can't quite recall that one. I'd love to spend an evening soaking in one of those after a long day wandering through the parks. Could someone please pass the pitcher of gin & tonic?

Great pictures, many thanks! We were there during the first week in March but couldn't get in. I had a CM tell me that the pool at SSR would rival SAB - you're right it doesn't but still looks like it will be a great attraction.

We're taking our first trip home to SSR in August.I really appreciate the pictures you posted but one thing disappoints me.That blue building in picture 4 looks like an aircraft hanger(really ugly) It seems to spoil the whole area.Hope I get a different perspective when I get there.

Thanks for taking the time to get pic's, great job.

But, I agree about the blue building, what is it?

Thanks for the great photos. I will be at WDW in June and can't wait to scope out Saratoga!

Isn't the "hangar" the old building from the Disney Institute? When we visited in November and took photos from the water, the old DI building was RIGHT there... I had the idea it would be gone but it was not. Anyone? Is there something in there now, maybe food or shopping or is that all in a new building? It is clearly being incorporated into the new resort, and while it was not "awful," it did sort of stand out as "different."

I was also just at OKW and looked for the model of the slide. The cast members were clueless except one woman, who told me it was over at the office with the model rooms at the Boardwalk. She said perhaps they were carrying it over for the Member meetings on Tuesday mornings. This must be how Doc got his photos! I am always amazed how we DIS'ers often have more info than staff... :)

Thanks again for the photos.
