Hi All ~ I thought it would be fun if everyone could list ONE tip for WDW trip!

Here is mine:

Ride up front on the monorail with the CM and get a co-pilots license.

Arrive early!!!

Get to the parks for the opening ceremony and then head for the most popular rides. :thumbsup2

If you are going to eat CS meals, do it a little earlier than you normally would. We eat lunch at 1130, and dinner at 5 because the lines will be shorter and you won't have to hunt for a seat.

Early Magic Hours. All though check to see what attractions are open.
Another strategy is don't do the EMH and head to a different park.

If you're the first one to Tinkerbell's Treasures when it opens in the morning, have your kids say to CM there, "Can we wake up Tinkerbell?" My dd got to last year :)

If you drive to the parks, whip out your camera/phone camera in the parking lot and snap a pic of your section/row sign. Consult camera while waiting for tram and arguing with family about whether you were in Goofy or Mickey this time. Find car quickly! ;)

bring your own timmys in a can from home. coffee in wdw isn't very good!

heres another.

buy tgm. saved us a ton of time on the last trip and we hope to save more time this coming trip.

Mine would be, don't over schedule. Leave some time in your day to be spontaneous. You can ruin all the magic by trying to keep to an overly detailed schedule.

Fun thread idea! Nice thinking Sandra!

On arrival day book an early dinner at a different resort hotel - preferably one on the monorail. It's usually a wasted park day so skip buying a ticket for that day and enjoy touring some amazing hotels instead.
We always like to have that first dinner at Chef Mickeys in Contemporary (food isn't too great but spending our first outing with the Mouse is!) then hop on the monorail to visit the Grand Floridian and Polynesian. If we have time we'll take the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge instead. If you have lots of time search for Hidden Mickeys - it will take all through the hotels to spots you would probably only go to if you were staying there and there's some pretty cool Mickeys (our favourite is at the Kona coffee counter!)

BOO!!!!! BOO!!!:lmao: :rotfl: ;) . My head hurts just thinking of getting up early on vacation highland3.

Hmmm. I would say do quite a few non-park days. Saves money. But even nore importantly so many wonderful, relaxing things to do at WDW.

If on the DDDP you can get breakfast for a snack credit ( Cereal with milk or in our case a box of 8 dough nuts )and use your refillable mug for coffee or apple juice

I may be a little different but i like the coffee at WDW:confused3

USE FASTPASS. As soon as you get into a park, quickly grab a fastpass for the most popular ride which you want to ride. Try to have a fastpass waiting in the wings ( or in your hands) for most of the trip. :)

Have various sizes of ziploc bags on hand. They are useful for a variety of things from protecting a camera on a water ride to carrying a wet wash cloth for wiping sticky fingers. Also, ziplocs are great for packing up leftover food.

Bring everything you will need from home. The cost of things like sunscreen or Tylenol is double in the parks or at the resort.

If you are travelling in the summer try to find the water misters before you get there. I bought one for $7 at a Walmart. The ones in the parks are $15+.

We loved getting the box of doughnuts with only one snack credit for breakfast in October 2007. Unfortunatly they closed that loop hole in the dining plan. No more boxes of doughnuts allowed.:sad2:

Hi Sandra

I'd say buy lots of glow sticks here in Canada ,,we made our own lights for the room(stick them in a water filled bottle) and sit it in the resort room window. Looks great and yah don't have to disturb one and another during the night.(instant night light)
We used them for extra magic hours at night and during fireworks and parades.

Have a ton but you said one.

Hugs to you :goodvibes

Make use of the playgrounds that are in most of the parks. Pooh's Playful Spot and the Toontown playground in Magic Kingdom. Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground in Disney Studios. The Boneyard in Animal Kingdom. For the kids it's like going on a ride with no or minimal waiting and most of these parks are well designed so an adult can sit near the entrance relax and let the kids play and burn off some energy.:yay: You don't have to follow them around as they have to pass you to leave.
