One tiny success in 2009

I got almost no scrapping done (do you guys even remember me?). The good news is, I broke myself of the "scrap shopping" addiction. I didn't spend one cent on scrapping in all of 2009. I put some of my supplies and my Cricut to good use, helping DD#1 with school projects. I know that I will use my Cricut as I progress in my teacher program. I've seen other student work and know that there are projects I'll have to do that just cry out for the Cricut.

We plan to go back to the World in August. I am hoping to make a scrapbook of that trip, even if it's a simple book. One of my problems has been feeling like I wasn't elaborate enough in my books, because I compare myself to some of the real artists out there. The result is no books for the 2008 or 2009 trips. Our 2010 trip is planned for 7 nights ASMu Family Suites and 3 nights CSR, two resorts at which we have never stayed. I'm hoping that having fresh photo opportunities will inspire me.

Can I just say that I SO know what you mean?? My pages are always simple, and sometimes I get in the "should I do this?" rut. But, I'm so excited to see the pendulum swing to simpler pages (even though it never swung the other way at mine!)

I was in a funk for several months too, and it's not easy to get past. My pages are also simple, and some are downright plain.

when are you going?!!! I am going too. Some of us will be there for SDV again the end of Aug. It would be great to see you.

Don't worry about making your layouts fancy and stressing yourself out. The bottom line is to preserve your memories, and you can do that with simply adhering your photos and journalling. That is the important part. I have two friends who love the CM Picfolio albums and milestone journal sets. They just slip in the pictures into the sleeves and journal on the papers. Without fuss they have their pictures in albums.
