One time use points question

Hi so I booked a trip at our home resort VGF for February 2022. Want one more night but don’t want to borrow points. I know they sell one time use points and that should be enough to cover one more night that we want. My question is how do I do this? I think I remember seeing I can only do this 7 months in advance? Is that so? If I have to call can I just buy them to add the one night or do I have to rebook my existing reservation and buy them as part of a longer trip?

They can not not be used at 7 months or less. You do have to buy when booking and that requires a call.

You do not need to cancel or rebook what you have. That is secure.

One thing you can do to save time is to call before the 7 month time..make a one night trip somewhere at least 7 months out for the same number of points. Once you buy and it’s booked, go online and cancel it. Those OTU points will be in your account and you can now book at the actual 7 month mark for the night at 8 am abs the system will let you use since we can not do that online!

They can only be used at the 7 month window - not the 11 month window. Yes.

You buy them anytime you are inside of the 7 month window (as in theoretically 1 day to 7 months). You can buy anywhere from 1 to 24.

They can be bought and used when booking any trip 7 months or less from check in. Basically, they can not be purchased for booking at your home resort during home resort priority.

You can buy up to 24 per UY, currently $19/point.

This is a PRO TIP right here. Great workaround especially with hold times being as high as they are now. I wish they would just let us buy the OTU points online...
