I can save them a lot of money. Move Dec 1-14 from Adventure to Dream. Move August 16-31 from Dream to Adventure. Swap October and May from Choice to Dream. That would be a great start, and it took me 3 minutes!


In all seriousness, I understand what you are saying about how the process is not as simple as just reallocating points, but I do still contend that the fall is busier across ALL resorts than the spring, and having late April and May come at a higher point cost from the fall is a fundamental flaw in the seasonal allocations. I would imagine that if/when they do reallocate, that's where we're going to see a change.

From what I have read the season's were set up before Disney started packing the fall with F&W and Mickey's Halloween Party ect. As long as they have them, fall should be highter. But were do we stop? Truth is these events really effect BCV, BWV and BLT. So do we raise only them? It can get messy, fast.

Your assumption has not been my experience. Demand is what it is, there is a generic component related to school calendar's and other usual travel patterns plus the inherent draw of the Disney special events which have changed significantly over time.

I know you're being funny with your fix but it points out an inherent issue. Every time you make a change, you've got to balance it then do a lot of work to make sure it's COMPLETELY correct. Plus, as I've tried to suggest, your idea of the demand does not match mine. Basically I don't believe your theory that the inherent demand is more in the fall than the spring, my info suggests the reverse and I don't believe your current experience has a lot of meaning even if it's over a few years based on your reservation attempts. You must look at the overall inherent demand over a MUCH larger sample and several years.

My info (timeshare related including II's TDI & RCI's TPU) suggests that demand for the area, ignoring points charts, is the following from most to least.

1. Easter, 4th of July, Xmas, NY
2. March, April, June, July
3. Feb, May, August
4. Jan, Oct, Nov, Dec before Xmas
5. Sept

Thus based on demand for the area and not adjusting for special events that don't affect overall demand (the big events do), that's how I see the seasons going. Only Sept would be Adventure but Feb, May & August would be Dream while Oct through Jan except Xmas would be Choice. Fringe weeks tend to fall off like early June and late August.
