For those of you that have used Living Seas as your Reception or held an event there...

Did you use the one time use wedding cameras and how did the picutres come out? I was thinking it may not be worth the money since it is dark in this venue and the pictures may not turn out very well.

I wanted to purchase a couple from theknot.com since their cameras are on sale this week.

Thanks!:dance3:

I don't think I would. I work in a photo lab, and out side pics turn out ok, but inside dark rooms, not so much. (even with lighting and everything, they can still be "grainy")

I would have to say skip the cameras.* With everyone that has digital cameras these days why waste the money for a *chance* some may come out? What I would recommend is that you create a user account at a photo site and make little cards to hand out at the wedding asking that people can upload their photos to the site (under the 1 account) when people get home. For example, for my wedding it would be something like a Snapfish account:Username: brideandgroom Password: weddingdateand then everyone can upload to one place so then everyone can order photos from one place.* It worked really well when I did it for both of my best friends' weddings.

Caryn will probably pop over here to post, but she had them at her wedding at LSS and none of her pictures from the disposable cameras came out. She had at least 10. I agree with a PP that you should have everyone give you their email address and they'll send you the pics

I doubt the pics will come out great either I was thinking that and this is aa great question since i'm doing my reception their as well!! (:

That's what I was thinking ladies, I wouldn't need alot bt why bother if they aren't going to come out, Thanks for the advice!!!

Thanks for the tip about the loading onto a photo account! That's a great idea, I think I'll do that

i don't recommend those cameras at all!
We had them at my sister's wedding and they came out.. but they were all the same.
The cake, the ice sculpture, the food.. same things the photographers got..

No one seemed to realize they should have been taking pics of eachother, they all went around the room taking pics of the set-up.. so we had tons!

If you do decide to go with them, make sure you tell everyone to take pics of something the photographer you paid isn't! Otherwise.. everyone wants to take another picture of your pretty cake! :confused3

don't waste your time or money. i had 15 of those cameras and not ONE picture came out. the LSS is so dark and those camera's have cheap flashes. all of our guests who used regular digital camera's got great pics.

My experience was totally different. I had our reception in the VIP Lounge in Living Seas and our pictures did turn out. I would add a reminder card to take photos from 6-10 feet away, make sure the flash is on. But we got a TON of good pictures from the 8 cameras we put out. Many were as good as the professional photos that were casual shots. My thought was the more pictures I have available the more likely to catch great moments, and it was worth the cost of developing to me.
