One time transfer of points

Love my DVC. Going to WDW in May 15, Oct 15, and now planning Aulani for May of 16. Never could do this without DVC.

Read briefly on the site about 'one-time' transfer of points. We have points at BLT and Aulani, but want to combine our BLT points as Aulani points so we can use the 11 month booking window. Has anyone done this? Do you know how it works. TIA!

Even when transferred, points retain their home resort. You can never use BLT points to book Aulani at 11 months.

It looks like a moderator posted a response within your post, making it look like you answered your own question.

If you want to book a resort more than 7 months from check-in, you need enough home resort points to pay for that reservation. In other words, your BLT points cannot be used to book Aulani until you are 7 months or less from check-in. If you want to book your reservation in the 11-month window, and you don't have enough Aulani points even if you bank and borrow, then you would need to find an Aulani owner to transfer Aulani points into your account in order to make the reservation.

Otherwise, you could book as many nights as possible with your Aulani points 11 months out and then try to add on additional nights 7 months out with your BLT points, and/or by buying up to 24 one-time-use points from Member Services, subject to availability.
