one thirty am arrival

We arrived around 2 am back in 2010. Went to the lobby and they put us straight into a room. If you are going in September, and it is after Labor Day, room availability should be no problem. This was at Riverside.

Wow, I was always told that if you check in before 6am you have to pay for the previous night in order to get a room.

.

I believe this is true. I've had two, weird hours arrivals and I have paid for an extra night. I expected ot.....

Lot depends on the ariline if they don't change my flight time then i will probably cancell the goofy's breakfast. However i've been online to the disney dinning resvevation sight and just about everything is booked soild. I also have cinderella's royal table for Friday night dinner before the party. I've also looked at POR riverside mill and the breakfast isn't too bad. it's cheaper than goofy's Heck i could still get to DHS right at opening. let's see if i got the basic dinning for two nights then it would be cheaper. I alo have a resveration for 50's prime time cafe for 1:30 should i cancell that one and eat at a counter service?

We also were able to get into a room early once. I don't remember what year it was, probably between 2008-2009. It was at the Poly. We drove and I called a few days before and explained that I had no idea what time we'd be arriving, it all depended on traffic, weather, and how exhausted I got driving. The cm agreed to put us in the first available room without charge. We got there somewhere between 3 and 5 a.m. and got a room within 20 minutes. It was in early Sept and we stayed CL. It probably helped that it was a very slow time of year.

I'm not sure what you mean by getting the dining plan for two nights? The dining plan must be for the length of your package stay. You cannot pick and choose which days to have it.

Yes it's for the length of my stay. My flight dosne't get me into orlando until 12:20 am unless they change it again. So i booked another night in the resveation it has me checking in on the 20 of september. I didn't want to take a chance that a room wouldn't be ready for me at such an early hour. However i'm thinking about just getting a one night because six meals is alot for one person and i'm really only going to be in wdw for one day

My first choice - book an extra night at POR so your room will be ready for you when you arrive.

Second choice - budget friendly choice - book an airport hotel on hotwire or priceline for about $50 - make sure it has a complimentary shuttle - have a good sleep and take the ME to WDW in the morning. I might even change my breakfast reservation to another day to give me a less rushed morning - but that is me.

Second choice - not as budget friendly - book the Hyatt at the airport - sleep and take ME in the morning.

Third choice - camp on the sofa at POR for a few hours.

I i did the first choice and booked an extra night at POR. I also changed my dinning plan from dexlue to plus dinning. saved sixty eight dollars. since i will be in wdw for only one day i can take the two table service and use it for CRT and use the two counter serivce for breakfast and lunch if i get hungery at DHS i hear that breakfast at POR isn't too bad.

Just wanted to tell everyone that my arrival time changed once again. This time for the better. My new flight gets me into orlando at seven thirty in the evening. I cancelled the reguarl dinning plan and then added the dexlue. I know that i have six meals but i've taken care of that by resvering dinner at yatchsman steakhouse for a nine o'clock dinner and if there's time then i will head over downtown disney. Then in the morning i'll have breakfast with goofy. I have afternoon tea booked for 3:40. I also have a one day hopper ticket so if want to go over to Mk before the party i can. I'll hopefully well get to DHS by nine and then stay until two. So i think i have my stay worked out. By the way the remainder of my dinning plan will be used at Cinderella's royal table and then breakfast at my resort in the morning. Thanks to everyone who posted good ideals and thoughts,REMBER TO ALLWAYS TRY AND HAVE A MAGICAL DAY

Camp in the lobby, that would be a most likely once in a lifetime opportunity (unless you plan this again, but it's not guaranteed that your room wouldn't be ready.)

You land at 7:30 and made a 9:00 ADR for the same night? I would be willing to bet you won't make that. In fact, I'd be shocked if you did. I wouldn't make an ADR for a night that I got in at 7:30, especially at a restaurant that charges $10 per person if you don't show up. I would 100% cancel that ADR.

As it stands my flight will arrive in orlando at 12:20 am. I'm taking ME to POR. I figuared out that i will arrive at POR around one thity am. I called POR and informed them of the early arrival. They told me that my room may be ready but really how offten dose that happen. If they room isn't ready they told me that i could camp out in the lobby and they would do every thing they could to make me comfortable. I was wondering if any one has any other ideals. Since i have 85 more days to go for my trip in september i can't really cancelle the air and wait for a refund witch takes fourteen days. I've checked the other airlines and the same flight is more money than i paid or they are sold out. At least at POR they have free wifi and old mickey mouse cartoons. I've also heard that thier chouch is verry comfortable While the early arrival wasn't my ideal i still plan to make the best of it. I have a breakfast with goofy at 7;55 am. I also plan to be at DHS before opening mabey having any early arrival isn't so bad..

We checked in before at POR at about 1am and we paid for the night. I don't see how you can get a room that early w/o paying for it since check-in is usually 4pm.

We live near Vancouver, Washington and fly from Portland, Oregon. We have taken the red eye one time getting in about 9 am and still not getting in to our room until around 1 pm. We always get a room even if we are not getting in to Orlando until late (midnight - 2 am). We are to wiped out from flying all day to not want to get in to a room and sleep when we get to WDW. I don't know if I could sleep in the lobby. I have been known to fall asleep at the pool though.

Glad you have a better flight time, but there is no way you will make that ADR. Even if your flight came in on time, it will take time to physically get off of the plane and your ME bus will likely make multiple stops. You will also have to check in to your hotel prior to dinner to get access to your dining credits.

Agreed, you will never make a 9pm ADR if your flight arrives at ~7:30p. I'd just skip ADRs that day, and hang out at the parks (depending on EMH)...but honestly, coming in at 7:30p, even if everything goes right on schedule, it will take you ~30 - 45 minutes or so to get on the ME. ME takes at least 45 minutes to get to the hotel, and check in is 20 - 30 minutes at best (when you include bell services). You probably won't be checked in and ready for the parks until at least 9p. If it were me, I'd just plan to just hang out around the hotel the first night. That just allows you to book more special 2 credit ADRs for later in your trip, as even though you check in at ~8 - 9p, you will still get credit for the whole day (3 table service, 2 snacks).
