One stay but multiple reservations question.

So for various reasons we have 4 different reservations for one stay at BWV. They consist of one night, 5 nights, 2 nights and one night. We will not be changing rooms. It has been quite sometime since our last trip so I just need a bit of a refresher. I know you get mousekeeping every 4 days right? Will the multiple reservations make a difference? Also what do you do if you need more shampoo etc? TIA!

You get mousekeeping “trash & towel” service on day #4 of a stay of nights. If your stay is longer, you get full cleaning on day #4 and a T&T service on day #7. Your check in day is considered to be day #1.

In your case, mousekeeping would have you scheduled for a full cleaning after your first night, the again after your 5-night stay ended, after your 2-night stay ends and then when you check out.

If you want to avoid having mousekeeping in your room so frequently, you can have Member Service merge the reservations (assuming that they are all under one membership).

As for shampoo, the BWV do not have the shower dispensers that other DVC resorts have installed. They still have the individual bottles. You will get fresh supplies when a full cleaning is done but I have even gotten replacements on the T&T days. You can also call mousekeeping for additional toiletries if needed.

Thank you. We are renting someone elses points and they tried to merge the reservations but for some reason were unable to even though they are under the same member. I appreciate your response!!

Did the member ad a continuing reservation notation to your reservations? They are the only ones that can request it and you need that for the room assignor to keep you assigned to the same room the entire stay.

If things are all different reservation numbers, it could mess up the service for cleaning so you May need to talk to the front desk about it when you get There,

If the rooms are all the same type and under one member #, there is no reason they can not be merged. If the owner says they can’t, then something else is going on.

One person can have more than one Membership number, which it sounds like is happening.
The Member should request that they be marked as a continuing stay through Member Services, and you should reiterate the request when you get to the resort (fyi, it is a request only, and while likely to be fulfilled, cannot be guaranteed).
Just a warning tho: I don't think they've gotten our housekeeping right in many years of "continuing" stays. It has ranged the gamut from no HKing at all (in 13 days) to daily turn-down service including chocolates on our pillows :)

I think that may be the case. The person we got the points from owns at several resorts. She said she did arrange for us to have a continuing stay. I will make sure I talk to them when we get there. Thank you!!

Different resorts won't make any difference. Different membership numbers (meaning different Use Years -which you might not understand since you are renting) would make it not possible to merge into one reservation.

We used to own about a decade ago but it's been awhile so I don't remember that kind of stuff anymore lol Thanks for the explanation. I appreciate your input.
