My husband brought home a box of assorted chocolates that an employee gave him today. First I asked nervously (as I always do with assorted chocolates), "Is it Russell Stover?" Because then you can just forget it. I'm super picky with assorted chocolates as it is, but I don't even bother with Russell Stover.
No. It was Ghiradelli!!
I eagerly opened the packages, ready to declare "MINE!" to any caramel, toffee, or milk chocolates. There was a handy guide, and surprisingly I liked almost all of them, except that there was one funky raspberry and one orange chocolate. So I bit into a white chocolate truffle, and it tasted exactly like orange chocolate!
My daughter tried a milk chocolate, and that tasted like orange too. Drat!!
The whole box might as well be orange chocolate. What a tragic waste.

I dislike variety packs for that reason. All the flavors co-mingle.
I don't really like the caramels and toffee but love all the cream centres and nuts. I also much prefer dark chocolate and usually give the milk and white chocolate a miss (unless I'm desperate
).
