One of those weeks...

First off we waited to long to call and did not get the character breakfast or get DD into the extra activity we wanted her in. That is done and I am now fine with the disappointment.

Now DD's soccer coach calls last night and leaves a message telling her that her first soccer game is Sunday. This is the first we have heard from them since turning in the application. DH and I plan on being out of town this weekend I felt this weekend was safe since it is spring break this week. I am feeling a tug to cancel/reschedule our trip away. Other solutions would be that my sister take her and video record her playing, I just really hate to miss her first time playing, or we could just not send her to the first game...so we don't miss it, which I feel is being selfish on our part.

This is mild compared to what others have going on and I do have other things in my life that are a lot more concerning than this, but it seems that nothing is going right for me these days.

This has happened to me - during both Dis Con's I ended up missing dd's first choir performance and band concert - she was fine with it - and her grandma's and one uncle were there for her and took pictures for me

I've had it happen too....with both softball and soccer. It's hard to miss those first games and actually any game. But I just tell her to play her best and have people take pics or something. It's a hard decision Amanda...but do what you think is best (dd has also missed first games which ended up not being a problem - they understand, well some coaches do).

{{{HUGS}}} to you Amanda. I really do hope that the sun starts shining on you all soon As I said to you before, I know my dad missed my first school dance and it didn't bother me. I am sure that whatever you do that you will pick the right thing. I will say, I think you and Todd need to take that trip no matter what
