One of my son's classmates died.

We were just cleaning up our moving sale and the phone rang.

We were told that a classmate/friend of my DS's died.

He was hit by a car. I guess he was on his scooter and had his helmet on and everything.

There's no easy way to explain this to an 8 yr. old.

I can't imagine what his parents must be going through.

Please pray for the family.

I simply don't think I could function if I lost one of my boys. I can't even begin to imagine what that family feels like. My prayers are with them and your son. I know he must be confused by all of this. Just let him talk, cry and ask as many questions as he needs to. Maybe even counseling if needed.

My thoughts and prayers are with he boys family. My heart goes to them. Although I have never lost a child (being 19) I can imagine there grief as I too am losing my dad.

Being 15, i don't know what it's like to lose a child, but in the past year my aunt died of brain cancer...it's still hard to believe. my thoughts and prayers are with your son and the family

That's so sad. I had a scary experience last week. I stopped for a stop side and started to go forward when a boy on a scooter came flying through the intersection on my left. Never stopped or looked.

I've just been to one child's funeral in my 37+ years. It was the worst one I've ever attended.

I can't imagine the pain that the family is feeling over something that is so very incomprehensible.

I am sorry for the driver, the boy's family, the boy, himself, and for your family.
