One Night, Two Parks - Fast Passes/MagicBands ???

We haven't been to any of the parks in a few years, so I'm a little clueless. My parents are staying at ASMu next week and going to MK and AK. They've already bought the FL 3-day passes. Will they get MagicBands when they check in at the resort? I have been seeing people post pictures of their smartphones with Fast Passes. Can they do that and how does it work?

I'm not sure about the answer to your question regarding receiving their Magic Bands. We have gotten ours in the mail. In order to set up FP+ ahead of time, they will need to set up a My Disney Experience account at disneyworld.com. There are several threads on these board which explain the details. Once that account is established they can schedule their FPs. Also explained in other threads. If I knew the link, I'd give it to you but it is fairly easy to find on this board. They can also schedule FP+ in the parks if they don't do it ahead of time.
