So we are thinking of flying in the night before our package starts. Looking for suggestions for a one night stay in the disney springs area and recommendations on how to get from the airport to the hotel? Thank you.

Are you looking for one of the Disney-owned resorts near Disney Springs, or the non-Disney resorts along Hotel Plaza Blvd, across from DS?

If it’s the the latter, you’ll find more discussion on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board.

We stayed off property once the night before we checked in at a Disney resort. We rented a car from Alamo and my husband returned it to the Car Care Center (while I was at the Disney Spa :cool2:). They shuttled him to our resort. You can also drop off National car rentals there, too.

If staying on Disney property the night before, we’ve used Uber to get to our main resort.

what hotel did you stay at off property?

There is Hilton, Holiday Inn, Best Western, B resorts, DoubleTree suites... I have stay at all of these options, and if you are looking for just a room for the 1 night any of these will fit the bill... I would just look for the least expensive option... The Hilton and B resort - are the closest to Disney Springs, and is a very quick walk, so you could have dinner over there... If I had to pick between the two, I would go with Hilton, we are Honors members, and might could swing a free night, or at least some points... DoubleTree suites is great if you have a larger family or group, and does provide more space and the price is pretty dang reasonable... We stayed here one night... we arrived at the hotel at 8:00 pm, checked in, showers, and hit the bed we were all asleep my like 9:30... it was nice, comfortable, and did the job we needed it to do for only one night.

Personally I would book a disney value resort for the one night for the ease of magical express, luggage transportation to the next resort, and transportation to Disney Springs. And because I like being in the disney bubble as much as possible.

That said, if I were to consider an off-site property, I'd be on the travel sites clicking that "free breakfast" button because who doesn't love free breakfast? It might be worth it to crunch the numbers of price of hotel with the cost of transportation from airport, disney springs, and then to your next hotel.

It also could be fun to use priceline and name your price to see just how much of a deal you can get.

If you are flying in the night before maybe consider staying at the Hyatt at MCO and taking the Magical Express to your resort in the morning. I did that once and thought the room and staff were very nice. They will even grab your luggage for you the night you arrive and help you bring it down to the Magical Express the next morning.
