We will be staying at the Beach Club for a week in March but due to the cost of airfare we will be arriving a day before our reservation begins. To add one more day at the Beach Club is cost $100.00 more than a room at the Swan. Do you think I should book the Swan or stick with a Disney property so that I can use the Magical express and then not have to worry about a taxi from airport to swan and then another taxi from Swan to Beach Club? Thanks for any advice!

I would say stick with Disney property. Not sure how much a cab is, but the cost can add up. When the difference is only $100, I'd definitely go with the beach club even simply for the convenience. You're on vacation, you're getting an extra day, splurge and treat yourselves :goodvibes

A cab could be $50+ so you wouldn't be saving all that much. I'd say stay at Beach Club for the convenience of ME, and also so you don't have to switch resorts.

You wouldn't need a taxi to get from the Swan to the BC. Worse case scenario is you could walk between them since they are right next door to each other. However, I think the Swan will transfer your luggage and then you could either walk or take Disney transportation back to the BC after you leave a park.

You would however need a taxi or shuttle to the Swan. The upside is if you hire a limo or towncar it is a lot quicker (taxi I'm not sure but probably also quicker) although it is not free. A shuttle is probably not any quicker unless you just get lucky and are first to be dropped off but it is less expensive than hiring a towncar.

You could always stay at a value or mod the first day and let them move your stuff to BC for the rest of your stay while you are at the parks (just unpack what you need for that first day). You could still use ME from the airport and still save a little $$. We do this all the time.

We also stay in a mod if we arrive a day early, usually due to a much better airfare deal, with the cost of the mod still saving us money over flying on the "correct" day". I like the fact that Disney will transfer our luggage for us. We've never had a problem any of the times we've done this, plus it gives you a chance to experience the mods.

We do this all of the time. Book the Pop for one night, take a small carryon or something with your one day of whatever you need; don't even open your other luggage.

You can either have bell services transfer your luggage from Pop to BC (you won't get it until later in the day) or you can take a $12 cab ride from Pop to BC with your luggage, check in at BC and head out for the day. Bell Services will store your luggage until your room is ready.

I would jsut go with a Disney resort for the one nite stay.....to much hassle to do the taxi
