Where would you stay?

Our package starts Sunday, but the flights worked better/were cheaper to come in on the Saturday. We arrive at MCO at 9:30 a.m. and my kids will be five and four.

Currently, we are booked at an all stars, but I am considering surprising my husband with a different resort. No AoA LM rooms available. So, choices are an AoA suite (and if so, which one?) Or AKL (pool view only available). We will basically be spending the whole day at the resort. Considerations are (a) kids enjoying it and (b) food as we will be eating there the whole time. Probably want to stick to quick service the whole time.

Any recommendations?

See if you can get Yacht Club or Beach Club - might be able to get it close to the cost of AKL. You would love spending the whole day at the pool at YC/BC with your 5&4 yr olds - it is like a mini waterpark and perfect for their ages. You could also consider POR or POFQ, since they have a boat to DTD.

i would choose the AKL. It is an awesome resort with a great food court (Mara) and lots of activities for the kids. you get to use the pool at Jambo as well as Kidani. The theme parks are not right next door calling to you. The pool view at Jambo House is beautiful. there are lots of public viewing areas to watch the animals.

You can't go wrong with a day here! Enjoy!

We once stayed a single night at AKL. The only problem was that we fell in love and ended up buying DVC points there. Beautiful resort. A vacation in itself. ( we also got pixie dusted with a room upgrade to Savanah. Disney knows what they are doing with those. )

I agree with Babsy. AKL is a beautiful resort with great dining options and would be great for a one night resort only stay :thumbsup2.
