I'm pretty new to the whole discount code thing, I've only booked Disney trips during free dining. We were able to get FD on a trip we just booked, 11/8 thru 11/13. However, we really wanted to start our trip on 11/7 to get better flight deals, and DH is already off (regular days) starting on the 6th. However, FD dates for Nov start on the 8th :headache: I FINALLY was able to snag a RO reservation at the same hotel and same category as our FD booking, but the rate seems pretty high to me. It's a standard view room at CBR, and total is $234 for one night. I went ahead and booked it, knowing I can cancel if we find a better deal. Are there any discounts available now or coming up that I can apply??

Nothing yet, unless you have a UOC (unique offer code). Fall room offers will be out sometime this summer. Also, if you want to use your tickets for the room stay, you can, but you won't be able to make FPs for dates before your package until you pick the tickets up (aka turn them on).

Thanks!! I'll be on the lookout for it! I'm just happy I could snag the reservation in the same category. Hopefully they will let us stay in the same room and not have us switch rooms between reservations.

We have free dining booked for 11/8-11/11 at CBR as well. We booked a room only at All Star Movies for 11/6-11/7. I have a UOC but there are no rooms left for those days. The cast member I spoke with said to check back within the next month or so because they'll be releasing discounts then. FYI, regarding using tickets that are booked with the free dining package - cast members told me they will not be able to be accessed until the package begins on 11/8 and a park visit on 11/7 would require an additional ticket.

That cast member was incorrect about the tickets. You can get them up to 3 days in advance of your package start date. It is called early package ticket pickup. If both stays are at the same resort, the resort concierge may be able to activate your tickets. If they do not know how, you will have to do it at guest services at any of the 4 parks or Downtown Disney. You only have access to your tickets, and not your dining plan until you check out and back in for your FD package. Just make sure your dining plan is activated correctly by grabbing your resort refillable mugs. Our dining plan did not activate properly and we had to get it fixed at city hall at MK.

This. :thumbsup2

We have done this many times with zero issues. But we have always had to do this at a Guest Services location, we haven't found a single Concierge that could do it. But as @smitch425 said, there are Guest Services located outside each park so no big deal to do it there. We're going there anyway.

I had a few cast members tell me that I couldn't access my tickets til the day of my package. But, I'm inclined to believe the several DISers that have told me that they have picked them up early with no issues. I will get the 7 day tickets just incase. :-)

Really??? I had one cast member tell me I could and two cast members (one via phone and one via chat) and a travel agent tell me I couldn't. If I can, I'd definitely do a 5 day pass rather than a 4 day. If they'll let me do it, an I just add a 5th day on my passes while I'm there?
