My husband and I are starting our honeymoon with one day in the World (Half day in MK and Half day in Epcot). This is before we set sail on the Dream. Anyone out there have some cool extras that he and I can do besides getting the Just Married pins at guest services?

If you don't already have them, get the Mickey & Minnie bride & groom hats. My fiancé got them for us after he proposed at WDW and we literally got special treatment (and free stuff) everywhere we went. You can even get them embroidered with the date you got married on the back. Find a Photopass photographer to take pictures of you two in your hats at all the major spots. Most of them will go above and beyond to get you some great shots. We even had one that took our picture during Wishes, and another that took us around the World Showcase at Epcot and we got our picture in every country. In addition to the "Just Married" pins (which, by the way, they don't always have. Sometimes they only have ones that say "Happily Ever After"), there's a set of "Mr. & Mrs." pins you can buy at any pin shop. Not sure if this is the kind of stuff that you were looking for, but it's things that my fiancé and I did right after we got engaged and it made the whole thing even more special and memorable!

It's pricey, but I think doing a Wishes fireworks cruise in one of the pontoon boats would be romantic. :) It's on my Disney bucket list for sure. Other ideas would be dinner at V&A, a horse-drawn wagon ride at Fort Wilderness, or even a show like Hoop-dee-Doo or La Nouba.

I second the Fireworks Cruise! Either Illuminations in Epcot or Wishes in MK-both fireworks are fantastic. The cruise is pricey, but well worth it.

My other suggestion would be to book a dining reservation at either California Grill or Narcoosees at a time that coincides with the fireworks. You will get a wonderful view.

So question, do they sell the groom and bride hats separately? Since my husband and I are two men I don't think he would like a bride hat lol. Now we will be in Epcot in te evening because MK will be closing early at 7pm. So any special places or thinks I should we should do in Epcot?

The hats are separate.

When will you be there?? There are after hours "wind down" events at four of the countries that seem pretty fun, my friend and I chose the one in Morocco because it seems the least attended. We wanted the quiet time when the park closed to enjoy it "by ourselves".

After we were married on Aug 2009 at Treasure Island in San Francisco, we left on a whirlwind 18 day honeymoon to Disneyworld. I broke up the days by spending only 2-3 days at each resort and a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise in the middle of the trip. We arrived and spent the first 3 days at the Wilderness lodge followed by 2 days at the Dolphin, then the Carnival cruise from port Canaveral to bahamas, st thomas, turks and caicos. When we arrived back we stayed 2 days each at the Polynesian and Animal Kingdom lodge. Disney made it very easy by transferring our luggage between each hotel.
I have to say this was a trip of a lifetime for both of us. My wife had never been on a cruise or to Disneyworld.
I advise any brides out there to save a little on the wedding and spend more on the Honeymoon. You wont regret it.

make sure to do some photos with characters when you have your hats/buttons!! they will come up with some awesome poses for you! i highly recommend the character spot in epcot....one line and get to get pics with 3 classic characters (mickey, minnie, goofy) . pooh & tigger are especially good as well! they are in magic kingdom by their ride, or pooh & a friend (varies) are in the uk near the pavillion where the band plays. the spot in Epcot is much much less of a wait than in MK. my fiance proposed in February while on our Disney trip, and getting photos with characters was one of my favorite things! oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :)

Know this sounds simple but sometimes simple is the most romantic. I suggest since you'll be at Epcot for Illuminations that you stop off in France, get yourselves a glass of champagne. The real stuff! Buy the pricest glass, it's your honeymoon. And drink it while you watch the fireworks. Maybe get someone to take your picture. Lots of people at the parks are suckers for newlyweds so I'm sure you can find someone to snap a few shots for you.
And if you don't have to get up early the next day, linger after Illuminations lets out. Just stand there, they won't rush you. Let the crowds clear ahead of you and slowly make your way out of the park. Enjoy the quiet and the lack of crowds
