Hi!

Usually we stay off site the night we arrive in Orlando. Sometimes it can cost 70.00 and up, so we figure we might as well stay at the Pop Century for 77.00. Do we as DVC owners get a discount on booking cash?

Also I read a post where a family was required to book a 2 bedroom instead of a 1 bedroom for a family of 5. They didnt find out until they reached the resort. Is this true, or did I understand this wrong?

Thanks!

Deb

dairyou I am not sure if we get a discount as DVC.. but as an Ap holder we do.. I just paid $ 59 ( $ 66 with tax) for our night before stay at All Stars..

I think at least one moderate (POR-Riverside) has some rooms that can accomodate 5.

A related question -- will Disney do a luggage transfer to or from a Value resort? I don't think the Value resorts have full bell service.

There are no DVC discounts for non-DVC properties. However, AP rates are often available if you are an AP holder.

Luggage transfer is available to/from all WDW resorts.

The Value Resorts do not have full bell services - they have a drop your luggage off and we will get it to your room at some point type of service

thanks

My understanding is that they will pick up your luggage from your room at the moderate... and deliver it to your next WDW hotel or your DVC unit.

We have transferred luggage form value resorts to DVC before without any problem. At AS, they did come to the room to pick up our luggage. Just call the night before or very early in the morning. It is best to have it picked up before 10:30 so it will be at your next resort by 4:00. When we stayed at PC, we just walked over to the bell services area with our luggage, but they would probably pick it up from your room too.

We got a AAA discount at Pop Century in September. Our total (with tax) is $69 for the night. We are staying the Saturday night we get off the Disney Magic (7 night cruise).

I am sure the amount differs by time of the year, but if you have a AAA card, check the discount with that.
