Hi all! I'm trying to do as much preparation for our Jan 31 - Feb 5 trip before the holidays escape me! I was only able to get GCV for the first 4 nights and will need to stay somewhere else the last night.

We like to stay Club Level at WDW, but wonder if since getting to CA isn't normally on our yearly agenda, if we should stay in DLH just to check it out. I would love to stay DLH-CL...but it's just not in the budget at this time--maybe if we get some extra Xmas money :confused3

How are the offerings at PP-CL? Thoughts?? Preferences??

Thanks a bunch!!

I stayed at the DLH in August and there was alot under construction. I would find out when the construction will be complete before you stay there.

if we should stay in DLH just to check it out.

I would for that reason alone. The rooms have some nice touches that you won't find in the other Disney hotels. Don't go to the PPH for some snacks and a light breakfast. Do something you can only do at the DLH.

I haven't seen any construction that is currently happening that won't be done in more than a few weeks. Everything major is done.

We're staying at PPH in the concierge level coming up, and for our 5 days its worth it.

If I was just staying one night though, I would totally choose DLH. The themeing is more "Disney" and I like it's position a little better on the resort.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!

We talked about it for a while last night and it looks like PPH-CL is coming out ahead. We like the view and the CL for about the same price as a standard view at DLH. We'll still go over to DLH to eat and check it out--but I'd like to wait until construction is done and when I have time to save up for a week in CL there. :wizard:

I have seriouse doubts you would see more construction at the DLH than you would at the PPH.

We love the concierge view rooms/suites at PPH. The extra space is wonderful and the view is great!!!

As far as I know, the only construction you can see from PPH is what is going on at Cars Land. At least that was true in May. Have they started construction again there for something?

The DLH is amazing, I had the best solo stay there in August! I can't wait to go back, the construction didn't bother me, because you can use the GCH pool, which is ultra nice.

The DLH is almost complete after a huge remodel. Hence the DLH is newer and in less need of maintnance than the PPH. This is why the odds are better for seeing construction at the PPH.

That makes total sense! thanks duh
