My sister and her family are coming to FL next weekend for the week before Christmas. I made reservations to spend one night with them at CBR. Being that we are now Floridians!!!! :cheer2: I was going to buy Florida resident passes for us and have them to use while they are in town. That was a great plan until I found out that my fabulous SIL is buying them for us for Christmas!! You see the problem, right?? We won't have them for when my sister is in town with her family. Being the cheapo that I am I am not about ready to shell out almost $250 for one day passes when the next week, I can go everyday for a year if I want. So, we are still going up for the day and staying overnight. Can you give my any great ideas that will keep the DS's (11 and 5) busy and happy without actually entering a park while being right there?? We were at Disney Quest last week and although I'm sure they would go back in a second, I think Mom and Dad may want to skip it this time around!! I was thinking major monorail trip to check out decorations...anything else you can suggest?? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I would probably still head to Downtown Disney. There are other things you can do besides DQ. The resort hopping is also a great idea. Many of the resorts have different gingerbread displays. Good Luck

You can always just enjoy the resort. They have boats that you can rent, bikes too. Play at the pool and the playground. Later you can play miniature golf at Winter Summerland or Fantasia, not too far from CBR. We loved it at CBR, but as usual, we never have enough time to just enjoy the resort.

Have a great time and what a great Christmas gift you will be getting!!!

My DS14 and DS11 could've spent days just hanging out at CBR -- the beaches, the hammocks, the game room, the boat rentals, the bike rentals, it's a cool place. And that doesn't even mention the pools. There's plenty to do there, and I agree with a previous poster, there's more to do at DD than just DQ. In fact, my sons want to keep going there over and over and over and....

DTD and the Boardwalk are both nice places to hang out.

CBR has the boats, and bikes, etc. There should be a lot to do there too.
