This is a French film with four main characters. Three of them are fictional. The fourth is French behavioral psychologist Henri Laborit, who talks directly to the camera. He explains the actions of the three other main characters in terms of what we know about human behavior. It is devastating.
That should be interesting (in terms of reviews and news stories) when it opens nationwide, October 6 according to IMDb. Were you able to see it at Sundance or elsewhere? Or just suggesting it based on its reputation?
Another movie I thought of, "Spotlight". It was such a gripping, disturbing, and devastating movie. It speaks on very important topics, and a very important subject matter. It was one of the few movies I had to put my laptop down and watch.
There's a bunch I'd list for pure entertainment value, but this is a movie everyone really should see not one, but a couple times!
It's Jimmy Stewart and the insidious creep of evil and how it can suck people in if they're not careful, and what happens to good people who try and stand against it.
Just a really great movie.
