My DD is going to DL in July,(leaving dad at home:sad1:),and had a stroller ?
Can you take a rented stroller from DL to DCA? I didn't see why not,but I'd thought I'd ask the experts.:surfweb:TIA.

(I told her she should join the dis,but does she listen to the old man, nooooo)

Yes you can take rented strollers between the parks. This is because both park gates are now inside the Disney security zone.

You can't take the rented stroller onto the monorail because the Downtown Disney station is outside the security zone. The only way to ride it is to leave the stroller at the Tomorrowland station and do without. Upon returning show your rental receipt at the rental shop inside Disneyland or California Adventure and explain you left it at the monorail station and you will get a new one.

Yes the strollers can be taken across the esplanade to the other park. They canNOT, however, go to DTD.

And this is all relatively new, by the way; when we very first rented a stroller in late '05, it's clearly stated on the rental ticket that they cannot cross to the other park.

My daughter thanks you much:worship:. She was afraid abt DTD though. Oh well.

For the Monorail you can take it to Downtown then return to Tomorrowland to pick up the stroller or go through Main Gate of either park and then to stroller rentals to get a new one. Disney rented ECVs and wheelchairs may park on the loading dock but not sure if that is allowed for more than a quick trip.

Park hopping with all types of Disney rentals is allowed but you cannot leave Disneyland with a park rental once DCA closes. If you have a Disney Visa card then you can get two free rentals a day. Yes you may leave the stroller at the area next to the security check points as do many a parent.

I miss you so much Darth but no turning back.
Big hugs to my favorite lug.

Laurie

Yes they should have rentals just inside the turnstiles and maybe at some of the resorts if you're staying on property.

Never thought of that. They are staying at the Paradise Pier. I'll have her check into that. Thanks.:thumbsup2

The CM's were instructing guests after fireworks to take the strollers all the way to the security gates (apparenly the DL drop off slows down traffic too much) and we have been able to drop at the security gates after fireworks (after DCA closing) as well in the past.

We unwittingly wandered all the way to the Rainforest Cafe with a rental several years back and then had it taken somewhate by the monorail CM, so you they seem to be serious about keeping them in the security area.
