Now that I've thought more about our next trip, I've come up with a list of choices that would best fit our needs. These are basicly my top choices, and I'm trying to figure out what should be my #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 choice, so when discounts are released I can have some options with CRO (hopefully one of my choices will be available!).

So, please choose from the following:
--Animal Kingdom Lodge, Two Standard View Rooms
--Contemporary, Tower Club Level Room
--Polynesian, Lagoon View Room
--Polynesian, Concierge Garden View Room
--Grand Floridian, Garden View Room

We've stayed at them all but the Animal Kingdom Lodge. BTW, this is for a few nights prior to a stay at the BoardWalk Villas. :)

Thanks!

The view of the castle at night changing colors is so beautiful, and a dinner at the California Grill can't be beat. There are a lot of fun activities for children. The 4th floor has great shopping.
You will have fun !

Hey!!

Just curious, why 2 rooms at AKL, but only one at the others? There are Deluxe rooms at AKL that hold the same # of people that are comparable in price to the others. ::yes::

Tough choices! :D I love the Contemporary and we really enjoyed our stays at the Tower Club. But, I really want to try Polynesian lagoon view so I would have to say either of those two would be my top choices. Let us know what you decide and have a great vacation!

My first choice would be Polynesian LV.

Second choice--Polynesian (anything I could get)!!!:earsgirl:

Well, I was planning on staying concierge at AKL, but we just returned from WL, and had connecting rooms, one of the rooms had bunkbeds, and after seeing them we figured out there is no way they'd work for us! But, I guess we would have a daybed as well, so it might not be that bad. Agh, maybe we could do AKL concierge? Would we have a good chance getting the queen/bunk/daybed instead of the 2 queens? (there are only 4 of us)

Thanks. ;)

Hey, CaliD!!

Well, I haven't stayed in concierge, but everybody who has posted about AKL concierge has reported that they really try to make sure you get exactly what you ask for.

According to Deb's site, all the concierge rooms are Deluxe rooms and can only be configured with 2 queens, king and daybed, 1 queen and bunks, king and daybed handicapped access. Since the bunk bed rooms are so popular, I'm sure your request for 2 queens w/daybed would be honored.

Maybe somebody with more experience with concierge will answer - my response is really just guess work, but I think they will try to give you what you want.::yes::

p.s. I reread your post, and I misunderstood your question the first time. You are saying you *do* want the bunks, with a daybed!!

Just disregard my previous post, I'll shut up and let somebody else answer!!

*If* AKL Concierge did have two queens and a daybed, there would be no questioning, we'd stay there. But, since the only deluxe or concierge rooms with daybeds are the bunk & king rooms, it makes them a little less desireable. I'm still thinking we may be better off with two regular rooms. Until I see the rates ($299 AKL Concierge would do it!), I guess I'm undecided.

Do I want to stay at AKL to try a resort I've never stayed at, or should I stay at an old favorite close to the Magic Kingdom? I guess that's the question!

I guess my vote goes for the CR...I think it would be wonderful to have a room with a view like that for a few days. It would be a great way start to your vacation before heading over to the BWVs. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them though. :) Be sure to post what you chose/got when the codes finally come out...I'm waiting too and am changing my mind daily about which resort we should choose. ;)

CaliD-

I hear ya - last Dec. we couldn't decide whether to stay at AKL again, or maybe the Poly, but since we hadn't stayed at BC/YC we wanted to try those.

Well, the BC was beautiful, and the location can't be beat, but we missed the AKL so much, that's why we booked again in April!!

That said, I think that you will love this resort, it is so unique and exotic - the lobby even smells wonderful!!::yes::

Cali....we've stayed AKL concierge three times, and we've had every type of deluxe room.

First trip, we had a King bed room connected with a Queen with bunkbeds!
So, those DO exist!

Now....since you're the one who told me to take a chance and do the CR, since I've never been there....It's time for me to turn the table around!

You haven't stayed at AKL.
AKL concierge with a deluxe savannah view is what you need.
It's an experience you will love. It's different than any other resort.
And, I've paid $229- 299 for AKL concierge(AP), so the chances of you getting it for the same rate is good!

Methinks the AKL would be a nice prelude to the BWVs!::yes::
