O.k., so I am arriving on Jet Blue which is in terminal A right? So, getting my one bag will be a hassle per what everyone says right? It will be a huge hassle to bring the one bag with me t terminal B to ensure I have everything I need in the AM right?

So, here is my next question. I am staying at All Star Sports. I land at 9pm. The earliest my bags would arrive in my room is midnight. But, I read they won't deliver bags that late right? So, how do I get my bag with my more than 3 oz of toiletries I will need to shower and get to the park (suncreen etc)? All Star Sports has no luggage service right? Do I have to haul back to the front desk at 7am to get my bag? This is easier than bringing the one bag on ME with me?

Help me undnerstand what the best option would be. Oh, and realize I can't have everything I need in my carry-on due to the 3oz restriction. I just can't.

Thoughts?

If you are using Magical Express, sometimes the bags arrive sooner than 3 hours. I have had mine arrive in my room 5 minutes after I got to the room, straight from the front desk. The All-Stars may not have "luggage services" but DME WILL deliver the bags to your room, you will NOT have to go anywhere to get them. The best part of using DME is that once you check your bag in at your home airport, you don't have to touch it again until you get to your room. It's really very simple. As far as bringing what you need, can you bring travel sizes just for the one day? I always collect samples and trial sizes of products for exactly that reason.

We have arrived late using ME three times and had different experiences each time. In May of 2005 (on the official first day of ME) my daughter and I arrived around 9 p.m. We were told it could be 3 hours or more before our bags were delivered. We had overnight stuff in our carry on. We asked that our bags be held and delivered in the morning. When I called the next morning they were delivered within 15 minutes. Last January my husband and I arrived around 11 p.m. and we got our own luggage from baggage claim and took it on the bus with us. Not a problem. In August our family of 5 arrived about 10 p.m. Again we had overnight stuff in our carry ons and asked that our bags be delivered in the morning. At 1 a.m. we had a knock on the door and our bags were delivered. We weren't real happy with that one.

Each passenger is allowed as many 3oz bottles as you can easily fit in a one quart zip lock bag. That should be enough.

You can get your own bag. After you get your bag you'll have to back up to level three walk to the opposite corner of the terminal and then go down to level one. That will take an extra 30-60 minutes. I wouldn't bother.

Call when you wake up and your bag will be delivered to your room. Luggage delivery is pre-tipped. You could be at the food court getting breakfast when your luggage is delivered.

Come on Lewis. If you pick up your bag at the Jet Blue carousel , turn back around walk to the escalator, up the escalator, down the corridor to the right on a moving walk, step off and straight ahead for 20 feet, left turn to the escalator down to the baggage floor and than another escalator to the first floor and the Disney Magical Express, it does not take 30 - 60 minutes. At the most 20 minutes. It doesn't even take me that long unless I stop in the restaurant area and than it may take me 60 minutes.

I can't see where it would be a big hassle to carry a bag from Jet Blue to DME. I carry my laptop all the time to that side and the coffee shop and the meetings I have (plus 2 cellphones and maybe a camera). If I get a chance I will time it tomorrow when I am in the terminal.

I would appreciate that. I just can't get everything I need into a 3oz containers, then into a 1 quart bag. Unless I go out and buy a bunch of travel bottles and transfer it all into them just for one night. It just seems silly to go through all that trouble to save 20 minutes of walking in an airport with one bag.

I don't travel juch and will only be in the world for 2 days. I just want my bag with me I guess!

I timed every leg of my trek through MCO. My AirTran flight arrived on the A side. We avoided baggage claim and went straight to the DME Welcome Center on the B side. From the time we exited the monorail until we arrived at the DME Welcome Center was exactly 10 minutes. This was with a tired 6 year old and tired 4 year old around 10 p.m. in a very empty airport (no crowds to deal with), with small carry-ons but no big luggage. I tried to get us all to walk as quickly as possible to get us to POFQ as quickly as possible, but little ones only go so fast, especially after bedtime. On top of my 10 minute walk, factor in the walking time to baggage claim from the monorail, the waiting time at baggage claim for your bags, the walk back to the "main" part of the A terminal, plus any "slow-down factor" associated with schlepping bigger and heavier suitcases. Tough to imagine the whole adventure takes less than 30 minutes.

Lewis's time estimation includes waiting for your luggage to appear on the carousel

First, luggage gets unloaded from the plane.

Then, the DME people pull all the yellow-tagged luggage.

THEN the rest of the luggage gets put on the belt and starts appearing inside the terminal. Your bag could be first, it could be fifteenth, it could be last. That's where the time range comes in.

Contrary to what some people will claim, generally passengers get to the baggage claim carousel BEFORE the luggage starts showing up.

Remember, Edd's time test is only going to include getting from the JetBlue carousel to the DME counter. It's not going to include the luggage wait time.
