We have already purchased flights for February and return later this night! Too bad, it would have been fun to say we went to Disney for a full 24 hours!

Hmmm... wonder if it is worth changing our flights for?!

UPDATE: DH and I decided it was just crazy to change our flights, which would have been like the cost of another trip... so we planned on just peeking in before our flights on the 29th... well, on our flight out here we took a delay, got $1000 to spend on flights with the airline AND they changed our return time for free!

So, WE'RE GOING to ONE MORE DAY! We have been in town since last week visiting family and now here at the Dland Hotel since Saturday. We have had long days every day. But I did manage to get the boys in bed and they are snoring away at 10pm.

I can't believe we are doing this... it's sooo crazy!

Hoping to find some great up to the minute resources.... if you are in line for hats or following the event somewhere please post a link! We are shooting for just showing up at 6am and see how long we can last.

The way I read it, I believe it is supposed to be included with standard admission, but I am not positive.

That's my understanding too. I'm sure they would've released tickets already.

Since I don't live in the area, I'm not sure I'd go to Disneyland for a full 24 hours regardless...not sure I could make it! I'd figure to take a mid-afternoon nap, personally. I'd much rather say I was at Disneyland at 4 AM, than say I was at Disneyland from 6 AM to 1 AM and then got tired and had to give up. :rotfl: Obviously a whole lot of people will have more endurance than me.

If you are flexible enough, I would look into changing your flights, just because I think it would be really neat to be at DL until the wee hours of the night/morning.

But if it'll incur too much expense or trouble, it very well could be one of those things that sounds really neat in theory but doesn't work so great in reality. And it does sound very much to me like it'll be a regular-ticket day. But if by chance they DID make it separate ticket, or if it turned out to be unexpectedly crowded, then you may regret if you had to pay a lot of extra money to arrange your schedule to make it work.

I think my DS (age 10) would totally fall asleep by midnight. And I am not even sure DH could stay up if he sat down somewhere or went on a slow ride by 2am!

I think you would have to do a 6am entry... with an afternoon nap and refreshing dinner and go back to the park later with the intent on trying to stay the rest of the night.

We are doing it, well, not the full 24 hours but will do our best.

We are staying in Escondido, but because the 29th and 1st were the days we planned to go to DL anyway I decided to get a room at DH or maybe a good neighbor hotel for the night. Just deciding if I want to spend an extra $140 for a room that we won't be in much lol. Also depends on availability when I can book the end of January.

This way we can take the girls to the hotel for naps during the afternoon and a few short sleeps throughout the night.

My oldest turns 4 on the 29th, so it will be extra special for her.

Any speculations on this being priced as a special event like halloween parties?

We also leave on Feb 29th (but from WDW not DL). So we are going to join in on this "celebration" by going into the MK at 6am on the 29th when it starts..... we are at BLT so it will be easy to just walk over.

Way to go--I don't think you could've asked for a better outcome on the flights! :woohoo:

Have a great time! I don't know any resources but people should start posting their experiences here and on other Disney boards in less than 8 hours. Wish I were there. :) I'm so excited for you!
